Put together an outfit!

So, my friend and I are fashion FIENDS. We'd literally sit around the lunch table in high school and dissect the latest runway collections, pore over magazines, and try predict the next seasons trends.

We started playing a game, out of boredom in journalism class, where we'd browse a certain website and put an outfit together for the other to review. We once did this every day for a month straight, creating day looks, night looks, outfits for the Oscars should we ever get to attend (

), etc....

I dont know, I thought maybe it'd be fun since some of you guys seem to be as into fashion as I am.

Night look:
Milly embellished dress, DVF ruffle coat, Marc by MJ peeptoe pumps, and Jimmy Choo clutch

Love the ivory open toed pumps. Delicious. And the ivory coat.

But that baggy eggplant dress? What is that? Jammie time.

Riding boots are ok, if you're riding something. Otherwise no-heeled boots are clunky. Just my opinion, but I hate the puckery brown handbag.

The night outfit is adorable, looks like something I would wear minus the clutch. I hate tiny purses with long straps, it must just be something with me, reminds me of the 80s.

Okay, I had some great ideas for this outfit, couldn't find all the necessary accessories on that site. I love True Religion jeans, but I would go with a different wash for this particular outfit, something a little darker and more distressed maybe. But this is what I got so far:

Whenever I buy expensive shoes, my husband shakes his head - he knows that they'll be used a maximum of 10 times, mostly I buy them just to stare at them, I don't want to get them dirty.

I am an accessories freak though, that and jeans. I love the fall and winter if only for that reason.

Yeah, but try to explain that to a man. My husband tells me soles were made to be scuffed, which gets "the look". Men just don't understand

My red soles are already scuffed and peeling and I've used the shoes a total of maybe 6 times... My mom shakes her head and tells me "that's why I only let you have one pair"
