Grimm, is the guy in the last pic wearing a Welcome Back Kotter shirt? 70's fashion makes me cringe. This makes me think back to kindergarten when it seemed like every outfit my Mom bought me included a patterned vest.

Yeah that looks like Mr. "Kah-tare" himself. And man that dude's pants look painful to wear.

    Me too DarkSith

Those one piece pant outfits were very flattering on women. Men really wore them a lot too. Bad mistake. Though, it could show packages quite nicely on men.

^^Hell no. Back then, I even used to sew my own outfits that looked like some of these.

I'm still looking for a good pattern for those wide legged pants

Anyone go through the plaid/Bay City Rollers phase?

It's like they are two-dimensional!!! Especially the pics with shirts tucked tightly into pants with no give, no wrinkles or lines...no body fat, just 2-D paper doll looking thingies! Too weird.

Luckily I never had to wear shit this bad, being born in 77. However I look back at mom and dad's photos and have a great time LMAO. Hmmm...they never had that 2-D look to them though...lol

Bell-bottoms and jumpsuits! Gotta love them. I've always hated polyester,
but what are ya gonna do when that's all they sell? The worst part about
the seventies, I think, was the colors for everything from wallpaper to
clothes: green, orange, yellow, purple, brown - but all the wrong shades.

LOL..yep the Godawful colors..don't forget the orange-yellow high pile shag carpeting! And the paneling! everyone had a basement 'rec room' with that dark paneling! (the 'mobile home' I am moving into was made about 1967(close enough to the 70's) and it is completely paneled!!! 100% paneling!!! lol. I love it!) I miss the 70's!!!

I especially miss the tie dye colored shirts with the 'elephant bell' bell bottom jeans with sandals, El Camino's, oil-drip and lava lamps, faux white marble fireplaces, all the hanging plants in macrame plant hangers, ..oh the liist goes on.

*Also coming to mind is what the 'Brady Bunch kids wore..remember Greg when he became 'hip' and wore the 'cool' clothes including beads? LOL! And what about that kitchen? Everything was in mango and avocado!! hehehehe

Haha these are hysterical, my parents weren't such fashion victims to wear this stuff, but they were still pretty bad. My mother was a devotee to baby blue overalls and huge platforms. Lucky me being born in '85, I missed most of the bad stuff!

    Enchantingly Feminine! Haha!
I smile because I have no idea what's going on
