Default The baby doll, puffed-sleeve trend -- when will it end?

OK, I've kept quiet about it until now but I am seeing far too many women wearing these styles who look absolutely awful in them. Unless your arms are as skinny as Angelina Jolie's, or you are a child, puffed sleeves do not look good on the vast majority of women (kind of like skinny pants). The baby doll look should have ended by now -- I admit to having a couple of these tops, but they are fairly fitted and DO not have puffy sleeves!

I agree they don't look good on all that many women.

They look cute and comfy, but make everyone look big and pregnant IMO.

LOL! I just bought the exact dress you described. However, it *does* make me look pregnant, so I'm going to return it. *shudder* Brief lapse of judement.

You probably don't want to wear these again either.

It's because the 70's are back.

But of course, if you do wear the shirt and the shoes, you'll need these jeans. AND PLEASE..make sure the jeans COVER your shoes.

    Is this what you mean?

LOL!!! I have that exact top on right now. I am cleaning and it is comfy. I don't go out in public in it, I swear.

Not a second too soon. I have no desire to go back to this part of the 70's. Didn't wear it then and won't wear it now. I would have looked ridiculous then, and I would look completely preposterous now.

It does, however, look good on some women and I don't mind the look on them - in moderation. The pink thing above I don't mind - used to wear those, but those shoes - disgusting.

I'm 5'1 too, but there's a point when I knew I had to stop. I still look good in a jean jacket and a cotton camisole. I even wear my old red heart pin on it.

I lived in the neighborhood where Son of Sam hit that summer. We walked around in tops like that, braless. Nothing was thought of it. Then when the murders happened, we were confined to our homes and weren't allowed to wear anything revealing.

I think the 70's started coming back over a decade ago. I'm seeing shit from the 80's now.

Oh, and I concur...baby-doll puff sleeves look stupid as hell on about 99% of grown ass women.

Most disturbing: Over the last 10-15 years there seems to be a general unabated movement outside of the usual turnover of seasonal fads toward making women look as much like "little girls" as possible. If it were merely about fashion that'd be one thing, but it even extends to the ideal body for a woman that has slowly evolved over time: That of a tall-for-her-age ten year old girl with C cup tits. As if there weren't enough problems with deviants wanting to fuck children...we've now pretty much sexualized their body types.

yeah Mira those are pretty fug I have a really cool pair of silver strappy ones too I don't get to wear my clogs that often because i'm clutsy and I usually have a kid in each arm and don't want to bust my ass while packing them so I only wear the clogs when I am not packing the kiddos
