Another trend that is way too close to the leggings-and-pumps of the 80's for me. The 80's is one decade of fashion I thought we'd NEVER revisit, but more and more I'm seeing it.

Tapered jeans or dress pants only look good on rail-thin women. They accentuate the pear shape on every other female in the known universe.

I like tapered jeans, though it depends on your body type. I just am sick of the bootcuts. Last year I was getting so desperate for something new (tapered with a slightly higher rise) that I got some pair of random jeans that totally didn't fit and had them altered so I could get that shape. Why am I still seeing people in the super low-rise jeans with flab hanging over the top?

DOWN with tapered legs. I will never ever ever ever wear them again. I have a big fear that suddenly straight-leg and boot-leg jeans will become unavailable in stores.

I'd have to take up sewing if that happened.

Scarlett Jo wore some skinny jeans and God it looked awful on her.

When I wear jeans like those, my butt looks good but my upper body looks gigantic (I'm kinda top heavy). LOL :p

Tapered, tight pants and jeans will never look good on me - I'm short with a big, pear-shaped butt, and leggings and tapered pants makes the worst of it. But I appreciate the look on people who can pull it off; the 80's are mostly memories for me, I've only worn the kid versions of 80's fashions, and that's never even half as bad. I think the 80's revival is fun - and inevitable. Just you wait until they start dragging the early 90's out from the back of the closet!

When I think tapered jeans, I am thinking (of course, look at my screen name) early '60s, the Exis in Hamburg, and Teddy Boys with winklepicker shoes. That's what I like about 'em.

Look how narrow Hilary's thigh is in that picture! It's only just barely thicker than her calf.

Um, yeah... I can't wear narrow jeans. If bootcuts go away, I will have to cry and wear skirts until they come back into style.

I hated them back in highschool too...
Why can't the 80's fashion die already.
