Default Do you think 70's and 80's style is back?

Trends I've noticed in the last couple of months:

    Argyle sweaters
    Gaucho pants
    Jeans tucked in boots
    Clogs
    70's looking wedge shoes
Big, flippy hair ala Farrah Faucette

I guess I can deal with these things, but I swear I will go on a shooting rampage in the fashion district if they try to bring back high-waisted and tapered pants/jeans

    yes, very much so.
i thought the whole winged hair was over already, but madonna is sticking with it for some reason.
and i have a closet full of clogs! i love them. they're everywhere right now. and argyle is something that never seems to go away.
i think boho 70s is more prevalent than 80s right now.
jeans tucked into boots. that never looked cool to me. looks lame no matter how you slice it.

Oh, I forgot to mention that I see those big crochet sweaters from the 70's are back again.

What's next, a plaid skirt with a big safety pin on it?

OH GOOD GOD! Not the Farrah hair! I hate that Madonna is wearing her hair that way--it's ridiculous.
I think there are some good looks from both decades, but for the most part it was all pretty horrible. The tapered jeans are horrendous, and I am just getting used to flair jeans....and I really like the flair look. But what the hell do I know right??

Something horrible happened today! I swear i saw a girl wearing tapered jeans!

Also, I see tons of people wearing those clogs everyday, but i think they're the ugliest shoes out there.

Oh my god, GAUCHO PANTS. I hate them so. I see girls wearig them all the time. They only wear the ones made out of the stretchy half cotton/half lycra ones that make them all look FAT, no matter how thin or in-shape they are. I can't wait until that part of this trend goes way.

They just got gauchos in at Lane Bryant in a heavier trouser-like fabric, and they don't have the weird fabric hanging from the waist. They're fabulous, I'm just waiting for them to get them in petite since the average looks like I'm wearing very baggy pants.

I've worn wedge shoes forever...they're the best! Good way to get a lot of height without losing touch with the ground!

Of course they are. It's just a matter of time before we get early 90's revival, too, and the huge shoulder pads and high waists of the mid- to late 80's are definitely well on their way.

Ok---I admit I give into the 60's/70's fashion. Hell, I even went so far as to tuck my jeans into my boots (they are a great pair of boots though. I think one can pull this look off with just the right boots/jeans) HOWEVER, I stand firm that I will never, ever give into the shoulder pads/high waisted jeans look if they should ever come back!!!!

I keep seeing girls in gauchos that draw SO MUCH attention to their, er, pelvic region. Uh, it makes that area look SO FAT if they wear them wrong.

Gauchos are terrible and anyone wearing them should be banned from dressing themselves.

I think they're trying to bring the high waisted pants back! I saw it the other day in a magazine- kate moss and scarlett johansson were the examples.

For some odd reason, I think the hairstyle covers up plastic surgery scars from her facelifts ('cos the out-curl sticks closer to the skin).

    JMO.
