Considerations when buying underwear
so...i had to go underwear shopping after work this afternoon..i was fine with the bras, those were great, but after looking through approximately 200 pairs of panties i was so frustrated..
1) why are the designs and logos so ugly?
2) how much lace do you really need in this area?
3) why is the elastic so tight around the leg area? what is the reason for this..? this makes things so uncomfortable. and then you end up with deep red elastic marks from the pain.
i almost just started laughing in the aisle of the department store because so much time was going by and i hadn't found anything i liked yet lol
ok end rant haha
but seriously. do you guys encounter these issues when purchasing undergarments?

I hate underwear/bra shopping. Bra shopping i dont really need to do because i haven't got much to put in there anyway.
But I agree with you, its a pain in the arse. And the great pairs are so damn expensive. I'm lucky my mum still buys me panties, haha. And she buys me the sexy, expensive stuff, so thats another bonus.
She only does it because i mentioned once that i was going to start wearing none because i couldn't stand the style of the underwear that is in my underwear price range, and she found that sick, so she started buying it for me, that was my plan all along ahaha.

I don't have any of the above problems. I've found one brand and style I like and rarely vary from it. The one thing I get angry about is from plus size retailers. Plus size underwear always has SO much fabric to it, they end up being enormously high cut on me b/c I have a short torso and then the butt ends up saggy b/c there's too much fabric back there. So, there's the one style i like b/c they don't go up too high and they don't sag.

I only get my bras from Victoria's Secret. Thong I get from Charolette Russe, Forever 21, Joyce Lesile, Wet Seal etc... They have very cute thongs for like 5 for $12

Yes. Finding ones to completely cover my ass is always a problem of late.

The only underwear I wear is Victoria's Secret signature cotton panties (bikini style). I catch them when they're 5/$25 and restock. Very comfortable and just the right coverage.

I buy mine from Nordstrom rack. They have adorable thongs and regular undies for $2-$4 a pair.

When does VS have their anual sale? I have never been fitted properly for a bra and thought I would have that done. The band in the back rides up my back, so I know I don't wear the correct size. I have a 38C on and per the websites I have checked I actually wear a 34D.
ETA: I just checked their website and they have like 1000 different styles. Can anyone recommend on to me?

there is sometimes elastic but it is much softer and flexible. it really depends on the brand. calvin klein and skiny have great seamless underwear but you can find some at cheaper stores as well. i have a lot of microfiber thong undies from h&m.

I wouldn't recommend anything from VS if you're above an A or B cup. Their bras are made cheaply, even if the tag says otherwise. You're better off buying good bras from a company like Wacoal or Fantasie.
