J.Crew is shaking up the wedding dress game once again with the release of its latest design – a lace jumpsuit.
The brand’s $750 ‘Eyelash Lace’ one-piece was so popular that it has already sold out – proving that the alternative dress movement is still in full-swing.
‘Who says you have to wear a gown on your big day? This jumpsuit is a fun alternative to traditional bridal looks, but it's still feminine and pretty,’ J.Crew wrote of the design on its website.

A plunging neckline and fluttering cap sleeves comprise the jumpsuit’s bodice
The lower half features a slim leg silhouette, fitted with two comfy pockets.
Tiny tie-closure bows run down the jumpsuit’s back.
J.Crew says that the design is a ‘versatile style you can wear to many fetes after you say “I do.”’

The design is just the latest way that the retailer has openly flouted the traditional rules of wedding attire.
The launch of J.Crew’s bridal line in 2004 was hailed as ‘revolutionary’ for its tasteful, pared-down designs that were sold at reasonable prices.
The label has since expanded its wedding offerings, and even briefly operated a bridal-specific boutique on Madison Avenue in New York City.
