Most of these look like expensive negligees. I like the one with the 3/4 length sleeves and that's about it.

I like some of these okay, but overall I am not impressed.

4, 5, 10, 12 and 16 come closest to what I want to see in a wedding dress.

Agree, especially the 3/4 length angled sleeves. I really like it and would give it serious consideration if I was in the market for a wedding dress.

That one reminds me a bit of my mom's wedding dress from 1968. I like it.

I love the first one, but it doesn't exactly scream wedding dress to me.

I'm just happy to see sleeves or straps on all of these. I am sick to death of strapless gowns.

Ditto. I know it's my soapbox but lets face it, the majority of brides who choose a strapless gown are either delusional or in denial about how deeply unflattering the rolls of overflowing flab are. You have to be slim to skinny to even halfway pull it off. A strapless dress does NOT make you look slimmer despite what the lying bitch sales lady, your mother and the (skinny) bridesmaids gush.

I think a part of it is to make you pay more on top of the cost of the dress for a bolero jacket or shrug. Personally I hate having bare shoulders and if I'm wearing a strappy tee I always throw a shirt over the top to cover up a little more. I also hate having to wear strapless bras because they never keep the bunnies where they are supposed to be and the grippy strips designed to help them stay up always leave me sore afterwards. That's why I'm thinking of going with a waistcoat corset - built in support and my shoulders won't be completely exposed.

I totally agree. And I think they are just easier and cheaper for the manufacturer to make so they push them on everyone.

I kind of like some of these, but it's hard to tell on the models. To me, wedding dresses need to be on models who can fill them out a little bit more, healthy hair, healthy and happy looking, not glum emaciated runway models with empty boob cups (what do you call those things?).
And so, I will keep fighting to make the US a more progressive, multi-cultural country, and my fight starts on GossipRocks - mikesandy
