Ross dress for less
has anyone ever found anything really good there? I need to know! I never found any descent clothes or shoes there, but the towels and pillows and candles and books and other home items are pretty cool, I guess it depends on the location of the store too, the one by my house is like the discount place in Romy and Michelles high school reunion that Lisa Kudrow runs out of in disgust so....
Theres a pretty good one in Ladera Heights and the Downey/Lakewood area too.

Re: Ross dress for less
Did I ever.
When visiting LA my girlfriend and I were at opposite sides of the store. Is there one near Los Feliz? (Not sure which one it was). So she yells to me, Come here now!
She found a mint condition Correges, black dress overcoat, triple ply wool for 60 dollars in my size. That is the only piece of clothing that I have been stopped on the street for. Very Marlo Thomas/Mary Tyler Moore look. Just got lucky with that one.

Re: Ross dress for less
I have, lots of stuff. Cool dresses, wonderful shoes. Stuff for my kids too. The only thing I don't care for is the recovery is poor. If something falls on the floor, it stays there. I have been the first customer in a store at 9:00 AM and the store has been trashed. I do shop there sometimes but I like TJ Maxx better. More organized and cleaner.

Re: Ross dress for less
I've found some good stuff there, but I usually have to really search to find it. I only go if I'm really in the mood to go through EVERYTHING in my size to find something. Something little that irritates me there is when you go to the dressing room and tell them how many items you have, and they still take everything from you and count it anyway, like they don't believe you. Bitch, I ain't lying!

Re: Ross dress for less
I shop there a lot. They have great deals on bedding, kitchen stuff and stuff for the bathroom. I usually snag really good deals around the holidays. Last year I got this cute XOXO leather hobo style bag for 12 bucks. They always have cute tanks, tshirts, mini skirts and jeans for so cheap! The only thing that's lacking is their shoe department and the little food section. I dunno, I find it a little odd shopping for pickled veggies, pasta, cappucino mix and crackers at a place like Ross or TJ Maxx when Trader Joe's is right across the street.

The Ross by my house is a picked over mess. I prefer Marshalls, same concept but more organized. I found a Michael Kors hand bag there for $100 and that is a damn good deal.
