Looks like lots of tall boots are back for this fall/winter. Hard to wear those without tucking. Anyone?

I've already seen people walking around with jeans tucked into boots! And I will be doing it too, when the weather is colder.

I consider the look to be more classic than trendy so I say go for it.

2 years in a row now old navy has put out a line of skinny jeans...i think they are only $20 too. i have a pair of those, i love them

...if you have a ross dept store in your area, they are a great place to get jeans (or anything really) they have lots of name brands in one place and usually keep a good mix of the classics and trendy pieces

I agree. Some styles are just classic.

I work on the principle that if you can make it work, go for it - bugger what fashion trends dictate.

I like the tucked in look on practicalities - keeps my legs warm

I looooved that look, and I used it with my Uggs. And also my other boots, that were cute little ones that looked sewn and had buttons on the side. Idk if anyone knows what I'm talking about. But I had them in pink and gray.

Well, winter's just ending in Australia and everyone's been doing it here. I love it. I'd still be doing it even if it wasn't the "trendy" thing.

Generally, I find that pretty much any type of straight-legged, non-loose fitting (ie not bootcut, flare or boyfriend) pair of jeans can be tucked into boots - not necessarily just "skinny" jeans as such. If you lived here I would recommend Cotton On, where I got a pair like that. Maybe wear the boots to go jeans shopping and try on a whole bunch - with the boots - until you find a pair you like?

If the boots are very tight-fitting on the calves there could be a problem with fitting the jeans in. But I've read advice that says the boots should not squeeze your calves and will look much more flattering if there's some extra space.
