Default Need help with my graduation dress

ok, so i've brought this dress for my graduation ball and i have absolutely no idea what kind of shoes and what kind of accessories (earrings) and what kind of purse i should buy.

    do you have any suggestions?
    i have no idea, really.

    here's a picture:

i thought maybe shoes similar to these:

and a purse similar to this one just in black

    what do you think?

Is the event during the day or night? I would punch it up with silver accessories for nighttime and maybe lighten it up with beige ones for the daytime..

i think that dress calls for more delicate shoes. what about silver sandals? ditto for the clutch, not sure it suits the style of the dress.

    what's your budget?

eta: penny, just saw your post. great minds...

are you at all surprised, sputty, my dear?

But yea,stef,.. silver accessories for the nighttime.. black would weigh it down too much, IMO.

    bags:

Violet gunmetal pearl tiered leather 'Manhattanite' clutch at Bluefly

Shih by Stephanie Lin silver cracked leather 'Vigo' flat clutch at Bluefly

and IMO you could also mix it up and not have perfectly matching shoes and bag. i don't normally like white bags but i'm liking this one:
Kooba white leather 'Penelope' convertible clutch at Bluefly
it's summer. i think you could totally do silver shoes and a white clutch with that dress.

Oh,yes- for the silver at night. You say graduation ball-so I think night, right?
I like the silvery dangle earrings-just a flash. Maybe an evening bag? That is a pretty dress!
    I like those Dovey sandals.
Sput-those bags may be too expensive for her..are there any less expensive, but still pretty?

    thank sooo much so far!

i never thought about silver but i really like it!

    i love these two:
Michael Kors silver metallic leather 'Calista' sandals at Bluefly
Kooba white leather 'Penelope' convertible clutch at Bluefly

but do you really think silver fits? silver and blue? i don't know... ?

penny, the event is in the evening.

sputnik, my budget is limited, i don't have that much money, i usually buy my clothes at h&m because everything else is too expensive. but it doesn't matter because i can print the pics out and search for something similar in my price range.

mcjag, do you mean something like this

    or something like this
    ?

Yes! It fits FAR better that clunky black shoes! Trust us.
I like the first pair of earrings best. See what Penny/Sput thinks. I may be too stuffy.

    Clutches:

POGGIOMARINO - handbags's clutches for sale at ALDO Shoes.

La Regale 24742 Clutch - Free Overnight Shipping & Return Shipping: Endless.com

    Shoes:

FROWILL - women's strappy heels sandals for sale at ALDO Shoes.

LAACK - women's peep-toe pumps for sale at ALDO Shoes.

re: the earrings.. you don't want to over-do it with really long, dangly earrings.. I think a shorter, classic drop earring with just the right amount of sparkle would be nice.. dressier than a stud earring but more reserved than a longer dangly one.. these are my suggestions

    Dara's Asscher Drop Earrings

Circle within a Circle CZ Dangle Earrings

Ava's Antique Pear Shape CZ Dangle Earrings

Stef, I agree with the other posters- go with silver accessories. A nice clutch and dainty heels would look great with your dress. Stay away from the chunky black shoes. Let us know what you decide.

thank you again for all your suggestions!

i'll print them out and go shopping either tomorrow or next week and then i'll take some photos.

i just won't be able to buy shoes with a ribbon around the ankle because i have "cankles" and it would draw too much attention on that area i guess.
