Not impressed. Didn't like any of them, dull and pedestrian.

We're talking Oscars here - I want hair, gowns, and jewels dammit!

Yeah, whatever happened to the days when actresses wore extravagant gowns and were dripping in so many diamonds, a bodyguard had to be present just for the jewels?

Blanchet but not the necklace and Lady Gaga without the gloves. I absolutely loooooved Gagas dress and it is beyond me why she ruined it with those rubber gloves.

i just realised i didn't even have time to look at most of the oscar fashion threads so off i go. i'd rather do that than unpack and do laundry anyway.

I loved Cate Blanchett's dress and necklace because they were simple and elegant. I'm so tired of over-fussy, over-embroidered, over-sequined, over-cut-out crap.

    Cate or Sienna.

There weren't any standouts at all though.

it was a shitty year for awards season fashion, and the oscars were particularly bad. and even the good ones were pretty forgettable.
meryl streep's lanvin suit was fantastic and fit her beautifully. i think she just might be my favourite. i liked naomi watts for being a bit more dramatic than most. jennifer hudson looked good too though i didn't completely love the dress. cate blanchett looked great but it wasn't one of her best either. cumberbatch's wife looked lovely.
