in my experience it's the opposite. a lot of skinny, tall first-time mums don't show until much later. my best friend is a good example. a lot of people didnt' even notice she was preggers until she was about 7 months - that's when she finally 'popped') and even now (a few days from giving birth), you would never guess she was pregnant if you saw her from the back - she still even has a waist. she's all belly, the rest of her looks exactly the same.

^Yeah, I've seen a few skinny girls who didn't start showing until very late in the pregnancy.
