i know! But czb is right, it will never happen. It would be one more thing on the list of all the things “wrong” with her or that people think she has to apologise for or try to erase, like being biracial, american, not upper class, divorced, an actress, etc.

palta! Stop washing it every day! It’s not dirty. It’s the worst thing you can do for dry hair. I’m the opposite, I’m oily as fuck and have to wash daily or every other day (dry shampoo is a godsend) and I would love nothing more than to be able to wash my hair twice a week or something. And you don’t need fancy conditioners or treatments. My friend has been using olive oil for her hair for ages and swears by it. Before washing her hair she’ll put olive oil in it like an oil treatment, you can heat it up a bit so it penetrates better, then wrap her hair up in a turban and leave it in for a few hours or even overnight and then wash it.

    I'm greasy too.

I'd love not to have to wash my hair every 1-2 days. Now that I'm over 40 I can sometimes get away with going more than a day if I haven't done anything to break a sweat, which is rare for me, especially with what I do and where I live.

I'll second the not washing hair every day. I'll take a bath/shower every day, but hair is only 2-3x per week. My scalp and hair would rise up and start a rebellion if I washed it more often. I also don't blow dry it almost ever either.

I bet the Meghan haters would complain and throw hate if she every wore her hair natural, but god forbid it ever gets out how much time and money it takes to make it look like this. They'd really flip out. She can't win. And even now, she gets shade for wearing a wig when there's no evidence of that at all.

Rollo thinks lots of celebrities wear wigs. Is it only Meghan she's not allowed to comment on?

Anyway, I like curly hair and I like gap teeth, so I wish Meghan had kept both.

I'm looking and not finding where anyone has said Rollo is not allowed to comment on anything including anyone wearing or not wearing a wig?

She can comment. I just disagree because #1: I don't think it looks like a wig or a weave. #2: There's shitloads of pics of her over time going back to when she was too young to even think about needing a wig and she had a ton of hair.

This is not about Meghan hate or defense. I don't think. If it looks like a wig or weave and there's pics to provide pretty good evidence...as is the case with many celebs, including Beyonce's visible lace front (not to mention that candid pic of her "real" hair) and Britters' nightmare of shittily maintained extensions...then I'm more inclined to agree with "Yep, it's definitely a weave/wig/extensions."

Some posters are simply disagreeing and others take it a little further into the territory of mockery and derision and it seems to me that rollo can't make any comments about Meghan without that sort of thing following her. I am not just talking about this thread.

I'm looking and not seeing where rollo threw shade at Meghan for supposedly wearing a wig. She stated it in a very matter-or-fact way and made no implications about Meghan's character in her posts. Jmo.

I dont see anyone mocking here, just saying that they disagree.
There are plenty of celebrities/actors/etc/whatever that do have extensions and wigs. Waity-Katie-Cambridge has extensions for example. Very good extensions but extensions nonetheless.

I hate going to the hairdresser, they always make me feel awful and offer a solution that cost a lot of money or time.
I wear my hair up all the time outside, I'm comfortable that way. I'm also a clean freak so I wash it every single day when I get home, I don't care if that's worse (it gets super frizzy and dry). And I don't have the money for high end conditioners and treatments.
Hey Palta! You dont have to buy expensive hair products - but I see that Sputnik got there before me.
You can use olive oil, or other oils (warm them a bit first - wrapping your head in a towel/turban also heats the oil & helps it to penetrate the hair shaft.

I used to wash my hair daily or every other day but gradually stretched it out more and more I think I usually wash it every 5 days or so but then again when Im working outside on my own, no-one sees it. On the flip-side, there are days when I have to wash it because its been windy & my hair is full of soil/dust/etc.
I have struggled with eczema in the past and not washing so frequently is the only way to keep my scalp under control (read: not so itchy that I want to tag itoff with my nails).
I have a new hairdresser & she commented on the (great) condition of my hair and I swear its to do with leaving the wash and not using heat on it. I also have a natural bristle brush which helps.

For the record I don’t think Kate wears extensions, at least not on a regular basis. She has great hair. Not everyone wears extensions and some women are naturally blessed with thick hair, it’s not that rare. SJP, jameela Jamil, Martha Stewart, Jessica Alba, zooey deschanel... I can think of lots of famous women off the top of my head (no pun intended) with beautiful thick hair. That’s not to say they never wear extensions for events but they do t need them either and their natural hair is already pretty enviable.

I was talking about it (celebrity hairstyles & wigs) with my hairdresser a couple of years ago. She’s a specialist in these sort of things and she showed me a couple of photos & talked about placement etc. I don’t give a shit if someone does or doesn’t but Waity-Katie has definitely got much better hair now than in her 20s.

Isnt the whole point of excellent extensions that you just look like you have amazing hair?

I think they are both lovely. They're also well-suited to their positions - Kate, as a Queen in waiting, and mother of the future king, and Meghan as a working Royal without the sort of ponderous weight of her future role. It's very easy for me to enjoy and admire them both.

I saw comments on another board from women of color about Meghan's hair during the US Open. It was glossy and fuller and speculation was that she went to see a stylist that knew what to do with her hair in NYC. She probably got a good keratin treatment or a blowout.

    Thanks!

I know it's not good for my hair, but I *need* to wash it when I get home because of the dirt outside :/
If I stay home for several days I don't wash it or just use conditioner.

I've been using almond oil sporadically, but I don't see a difference. I'll try olive oil next weekend.
At this point, I've accepted that this is my hair. I inherited it from my dad (along with his nose and curiosity) and it reminds me of him. He was very dapper (coqueto). I did not inherit that lol
