It's just so WRONG. On the plus side, the material (what we could see of it) might have been quite nice.

Yes the green dress was hideously ugly, but how long ago did she wear that dress?1999,2000,2001??? She obviously did something right because we are all still discussing this issue years later.

I think people don't like the green busy flowery pattern. Or dislike the whole flimsy, see-through, attention-whorish aspect of it.
Me, I love it, I think it's a beautiful dress. And even though I hate her, I thought she looked fantastic in it and it did its job by landing her on the map in the public's mind. So yeah, she knew what she was doing, and it worked!

I remember when I saw her in that dress, my first impression was to hate it. I still do, so i guess that hasn't changed in 5+ years at least. I thought it was a classless trick. There's nothing very elegant to the dress, it was meant to stick out and be seen- mission accomplished.

I thought it was great, she looked great in it. I loved the dress too. Its the type of thing you'd feel extremely sexy in right away.

The dress wasn't that great (for me) but damn Jennifer Lopez DID look hot in it. You need great looks to pull that one off.

I thought J lo looked hot in that dress. Geri Halliwell wore that dress years ago...and it looked awful on her. I wish I could find that photo of her.
