No, actually.
But -- and this is my honest opinion about Hispanic culture --
she is comfortable enough with her figure and her sexuality
to wear that in public.
This is something most WASP actresses would not have tried to
pull off...
...until the immortal Tess Smith, of course:

you must really want attention to wear shit like this. would anyone (you guys on the blog) wear something this revealing? seriously. how can you take yourself seriously or expect your peers to take you seriously when you look like this?

I think I would look good in something like that dress but it's sooooooo not in my character that I would feel desperately unconfortable. Not everyone can be a diva (okay, maybe if I channeled my inner diva, huh, what do you say paris?? )

First of all, what do you think "Hispanic culture" is? And whatever you think it is, what does it have to do with a Rican actress wearing an Italian dress?

Honestly? In the right time, place and mood, yes. Not that particular dress or anything like it, but equally revealing, in my own way - absolutely! I have done it and I still do it on occasion. There's an exhibitionist living inside me that needs some fresh air every now and then - but time, place and mood all have to be right. That's crucial.
I think that focusing on either upper or lower half of the body is a good rule, though - just like eyes OR lips with makeup. Not massive cleavage with a very short skirt, and vice versa.
I don't take myself too seriously. Taking yourself seriously all the time isn't good for you - it makes you pompous, boring and prone to judging people you know nothing about.

im not impressed with people who wear stuff that just SCREAMS "look at me". its like an incessant need for attention with stars like j lo. a more extreme example would be someone like lil' kim. she crossed over into being a punchline.
