Yeah, I think he was eating the cat food.

I've never seen one in person.

This video shows a lady holding one and being all snuggly with it.

Oh, I have all kinds of wildlife stories. We used to put bread out for the birds, and had a possum who would show up a few times a day to eat. I think he might've lived under my neighbor's deck because he'd lumber down the retaining wall, eat and then lumber back past my window. Then, we had a cat out there in the dead of winter eating the bread. I started putting cat food out for him and eventually got him in my garage (it was sooo cold out) and well, right now he's sleeping on my bed.

We put dry food out for another cat now and we've had other visitors to that bowl, raccoons and a fox. The raccoons wash their hands in the water bowl and get it filthy. They also got into my hummingbird feeders and drank all the nectar. The fox had an encounter with one of my cats. My cat bopped him on the nose and the fox ran away.

My parents have adopted all the cats in their hood.

it's a crazy story. I'll tell it in after hours.

I'm living back in my hometown temporarily for the summer (missing prime beach time, dammit, but you gotta do what you gotta do), & I'm staying in a rental property one of my brothers owns & it's next door to my parents, & both lots are on 3/4 acre each, so nothing is fenced in. Dad warned me there's been a coyote around & he's seen it with a squirrel in it's mouth once, so even though I'd never let my dogs out with no fence, I am afraid to even let them stay out there on a long leash. One of my doggos loves laying in the sun & I can see she's getting depressed not being able to run around outside. She also won't go potty on the leash, so I've been cleaning up a lot of messes in the house & in their crate. And Texas, being Texas is already hot as fuck. Talked to Mr. today & it's 72 there. I'm so jealous because it's 91 here & oppressive humidity. The "feels like" says 97, but I swear it feels like 100+. I hate Texas summers.

^ We have coyotes here too. All my cats go outside (please don't shame me) I don't like it, but cats will be cats and I do my damndest to get them all in before dark. Food is a great motivator.

My dog was going nuts barking in the back yard last week and I looked out to see her chasing a groundhog. It escaped through the slats in the fence but damn, it got into my fenced yard, that's a little disturbing.

be careful of coyotes. haze them when you see them, otherwise they will have no fear.

they are around here and are bold. after the next door kitty got munched i walked around with a metal baseball bat. one was eyeing me and slowly approaching me and my dog, not backing down. i started swatting the bat against the metal guardrail on the side of the road. RESPECT

Good luck. I've been trying for 2 or 3 years but only the admin can let you in & he's never on here.

I wish a moderator could start a new sub forum so that they could have control over who gets in instead of being at the mercy of someone who is never on here.
