I think it may be her hairdresser? That's how he's identified in the photos.

i don't understand what's so bad about wearing black to a wedding? there have always been plenty of people wearing black at most of the weddings i've been to, i'm pretty sure i've worn black as well.
as for chinny, awesome legs, ugly purse.

Do not wear black to a wedding unless, 1. The invite tells you to, or 2. You want people to make funeral jokes about your love life.

I wore a black dress to a winter wedding in the PM. And wasn't the only one, I might add.

That old rule about no black at weddings is passé, and has been for years. I worked at Kleinfeld's in college years back, and it wasn't followed even then.
The only people who should avoid black are the mothers of the bride and groom

^^^It may be passe, but good taste means black at a wedding is just another way to deflect attention from the bride - it is totallytrailer trashy (or chav), unless practiced by mrsdark and others who frequent this board.

I think it's accepted on the coasts now, but NOT in the South. It's considered bad luck and bad taste.

NY must be full of chavvy trailer trash lacking in good taste. It's long been acceptable here to wear black at weddings, ~shrugs~ regional differences.
I never wear black to weddings, but only because so many do, and wearing a color stands out in a black sea.

And a blatant statement on your opinion of the union. Unless it's a formal evening affair, it's thought that you're saying you think the marriage is a bad idea and the equivalent of a funeral.

i've never thought that wearing black to a wedding was bad & also don't think that what somebody wears (short of wearing all white to show up the bride) really speaks as to their opinion of the couple's union. i guess i never look that deeply into it (and, i'm a person who overanalyzes just about everything). i just think people wear what they want & what they feel good in. lots of people wore black to my wedding & i didn't think twice of it. like witchcurl said, that rule surely seems passé.
i think jennifer looks good...doesn't seem too short to me, either.
