It can be even worse to have a flesh colored thing under black, I have discovered to great embarrassment. Everyone is like "Oh yeah, the flesh colored bra" but guess what, the lighter object can REALLY reflect the light from under the black garment. I think that's why sometimes it looks like someone's wearing a white bra that shows under a black top...it's actually a "nude" bra reflecting.

Yes, but it's no accident.

Many on this board, like myself, believe Gwyneth has been over
for a while now, and this "see-thru" effect in this photo
is no accident -- they know (and sometimes don't care)
that they'll show through when the flashes are on.

The camera flash bulbs can do that if the dress is slightly sheer. But it's not too bad. She looks nice especially after having a baby.

The dress is too small for her - the darts are in the wrong place, it cuts in at places. She's been around long enough to know that sheer equals see through with flashes. If she must go without a bra, there's no reason not to wear nipple guards, unless she's trying to show them off.

she looks so plain Jane- god it seemed Brad did not like the women in his life to look better than he did.. plus that were all so mannish with strong jaw-lines or big chins

I rather like the dress, but it is too small for her... and you'd think that if the top of her pantyhose, or whatever that thing is, peeking up over the dress in the back doesn't bother her, a tiny bit of merry widow showing at the waist wouldn't hurt all that much either, would it?

Besides, there is underwear that works with dresses like this one - backless bodysuits, things like that.

Exactly. She probably had no idea it would be see through. It looks like it would be opaque enough in normal conditions.
