I like the fabric of her dress, but the cut and color don't flatter her. She looks better in stronger colors. She's also painfully thin and needs to gain some weight.

I don't like the hem of the dress, either, but at least it's something less "mumsy", even if I don't care for the colors. It's different. The espadrilles work alright with it.

She is so skinny, it is not flattering at all anymore. The dress is ok.

She got super skinny on some sort of diet in the few months leading up to their wedding in 2011. Always wondered what set that off with her. She's been haggard looking and underweight ever since, except during her pregnancies. I think that the royal role she wanted and waited so long for ended up being more stressful than she ever imagined.

It was well publicised at the time that she was on the Dukan diet.

She’s not thin through stress. She wants to be a mannequin and keep her husband. He likes skinny minnies. She likes the Dukan Diet (basically the usual no/lo carb, keto) and ciggies of course. She’s also a lean, long natural ectomorph.

I've always thought she had the body of someone who runs constantly, and with the way she bounces back from her pregnancies I can't help but wonder if she breastfeeds and that contributes to the extreme thinness. Even at the wedding she wasn't this thin.

Anyway, I agree with what everyone else has said about the bottom of the dress, but I actually like the pattern.

Agree about the bottom of the dress really ruining it. I wish it were in bolder or brighter colors, too. She looks great in jewel tones. Her facial expressions are alarming and she still looks unnaturally thin.

This whole crap about breastfeeding resulting in weight loss/post-partum thinness is a bunch of bullshit. At least it was for me! I couldn't lose weight for shit until I was done with that.

It worked for me but I don't think it's the way Kate got thin.

I refuse to believe it. She barely eats enough to sustain herself. There's no way she's consuming enough to produce milk for a baby.

I was down my baby weight 2 weeks PP and another 15 by 6 weeks, I assume from breastfeeding because Weight Watchers never produced those results (tbf I am overwight to begin with, I could still afford to lose another 20 lbs).

Breastfeeding making women lose weight is bollox. It’s luck. I was one of the unlucky ones.

I think it’s true for some women though. My sister and my best friend both breastfed and it consumed them despite both of them eating normally, within 6-9 months they were thinner than before the pregnancy despite taking a year off work.
