I really like it, though I think some open toed shoes would have been better. (Like it really frickin' matters...)

Honestly, it's ridiculous for daywear, not to mention matronely. Even Elisabeth II would'nt wear it

    ^^
i agree. it's fucking ridiculous. i think she was going for jackie o, and ended up with pat nixon instead.
even the shoes are horrible and the matronly nude hose only add to the overall crapalicious dumpy matronly effect. and that tacky brooch thing makes cindy mccain's custom patriot-trash jewelry look tasteful.
i expected better from this woman after the beautiful outfits she wore all throughout the campaign and that stunning dress when obama made his acceptance speech. this is a fashion abomination.

I think it's frumpy. The fabric belongs on a sofa from the 60s. I don't think Michelle is older than 45. Appropriate dress for her age is decidedly more youthful than what we've seen her wear so far.

Yep---horrible. Frump City. I am very disappointed. I can only hope it looks better live than it looks in that photo. And I don't remotely understand the footwear choice.

Yeah not loving the dress 100%. I think it's funny how she looks quite pissed here, like her feet are hurting or something.

Ah I get it I think...I saw it in the sun-is it a light yellow/olive green? I see she has a pair of green gloves and the bow thing around her waist is greenish too? Maybe that's what the green shoes are about...

I wish the dress had been a solid color.. that way it wouldn't have detracted from the coat.. it looks like one big mess of chartreuse sequins... but her coat was nice.. and she matched her gloves with her shoes...

    for openers...it's not daywear.

Sequins? Rhinestone brooch? Is this Vegas?

the shoes are horrors, and don't work at all

The breeze didn't enhance it and I'd like to see the dress without the coat.

The fabric belongs on a couch from the 70's. I also have no idea what the hell that thing is around her neck. This dress should not be worn day or night.
