Hollywood Drops Panties For Awards Season

Hollywood's A-list women are being forced to go commando due to the pressure to look good at showbiz bashes. More and more famous beauties are dropping their panties in order to keep up with the fashion for skimpy posh frocks. The trend was illustrated on Monday when many female stars attending the Golden Globe awards walked down the red carpet commando. Among the knickerless stars were Desperate Housewives Teri Hatcher and Eva Longoria as well as Sin City beauty Jessica Alba and British babes Kate Beckinsale. Hatcher admitted her lack of underwear on the way into the New York ceremony, the first of Tinseltown's award season which culminates on March 5 at The Oscars. "I actually did have underwear on but I was on my way out and my daughter saw me and said, 'Mommy, your panties are showing through the dress'," explains the 42-year-old actress. "I had no choice after that but to take them off. So here I am, commando!" One fashion expert said: "The trend right now is for tighter and tighter dresses and that doesn't leave much room for underwear."

What's the big deal with not wearing panties? Other than telling the whole world you aren't. I don't walk into the mall and say "ladies and gents-I am not wearing panties!" only those closest to me know my secret...
Just a desparate attempt for attention...one look at most of those dresses and you can deduct they have none on...

Well, Isaac Mizrahi asked her and she answered. I thought she was being a good sport. Put on the spot like that, you're not going to look good if you go all Southern belle and "Well, I nevah!" on him.

And BTW, I thought he was hilarious and the only thing worth seeing during that red carpet coverage.

Plus I agree that there's no big deal in not wearing panties. I have a lot of long dresses where a panty line is visible whether I try a thong or ultra-sheer pair or whatever style you can think of. It's better to be without than have VPL in a beautiful evening gown.

LoL i'm the opposite. i quit wearing underwear when i was pregnant with my son because i couldn't handle them under my belly, and now if i wear them i feel like there is way way too much material going on down there. this might be TMI lol, but i haven't had any kinds of infections since i stopped wearing them. so it was a good choice for me.

I've been going commando since waaay before it was stylish to go commando. My mother had a fit when I was 5 and gave up when I was a teenager. I just don't let it be obvious. I hate how they (underwear) feel, I hate how they look through clothes, and I love that I get far fewer female problems than most women.

I hate Tari Hatcher and think she didn't really need to announce that she was pantie-less, but I might try going 'commando' when I get older, just for the comfort. I'm not sure if its for me yet, but if it is, then great.

But this is still nasty.
