I had a friend who was a serious fundie freak. She was married and I swear she was stepford-ish.
I didn't even have a boyfriend at the time and she bought me a book about how to be a good Christian wife.
She explained the book to me and how the husband should make all the decisions for the wife/children and how it's the woman's job to just keep her mouth shut and support her husband in every way.
She said men hate women who nag and try to make decisions in the marriage, that's why divorce rates are higher now than in the 50's.
I gave her the book back and said it wasn't for me.
I've been with my husband for nearly 7 years now and we discuss our decisions together. Funny how he hasn't left me even though I open my mouth about things that concern ME and my family.
