Hollywood actress DIANE KEATON has announced plans to launch a clothing line with comedienne ELLEN DeGENERES.
The stars, who both enjoy wearing trouser suits, have realised that they share a passion for looking glamorous without flashing their flesh - and they want to use their similar tastes to start a business venture.
Keaton says, "I do want to go into business with (DeGeneres). I would like to have a clothing line. I'm not kidding, I'm serious... I have a lot of ideas... I'm into sports clothes."
DeGeneres adds, "There are a lot of women who don't always have to wear very tight clothes... Whoever contacts us legitimately, we wanna do something serious."

You have GOT to be kidding. Diane Keaton has always had the most hideous fashion "sense" ever. Where would she ever get the idea that this might be profitable?

I think Ellen and Diane have something else in common apart from crappy fashion sense [wink]

WTF? Does every single celeb really have to start a clothing line? Isn't there anything better to do with their money? Gee.

To each her own! I happen to like DK's fashion sense. Notice how I didn't write "sense"? It's a classic look, tailored to fit her body well, in basic, non-threatening colors. I honestly don't see what's wrong with any of these outfits, even the one with the jacket and skirt!

Re: Diane Keaton and Ellen DeGeneres want to start a clothing line together
Overall, I don't hate Keaton's fashion choices. I like tailored suits, too. I think she looks classy and I don't remember her ever looking trashy. There are certain elements I could do without - the gloves, for example - and I don't like the suit and tie combo on women.

To each his own, I suppose. I have loved Dianne's fashions since "Annie Hall". It "suits" her, so to speak! And I LOVE the gloves! Aside from being fun I imagine wearing them keeps her healthier.

Re: Diane Keaton and Ellen DeGeneres want to start a clothing line together
It doesn't matter what the reason is. The fact is two women who dress like men want to design clothes. Just seems strange to me seeing as though most women like to dress like women!

Is she a lesbian because she wears suits, or does she wear suits because she's a lesbian? What about all those men she dated? Merkins?

Re: Diane Keaton and Ellen DeGeneres want to start a clothing line together
Sexual preferences aside, maybe they just like to dress like this. Personally I don't mind Diane Keaton's outfits, I would rather see her dressed like that than in some of the ridiculous "fashionable" dresses I have seen on others. What would you rather see, Diana in a suit, or Parisite in something made entirely of straps that allows her tits and punani to peek out? Suit please!

It depends on my mood. Sometimes I feel girly, sometimes I don't. Like that candy commercial? "Sometimes you feel like a nut, sometimes you don't. Almond Joy's got nuts, Mounds don't."
But, back to the point... I think there's a market out there to be tapped by DK and EdeG. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if they start a new trend. Alicia Keys is already on board! Besides, there really is something kinda sexy about a woman in men's clothes...

Re: Diane Keaton and Ellen DeGeneres want to start a clothing line together
Ellen is adorable. I love her and I'd support whatever she wants to do.
Diane Keaton looked fantastic in Something's Gotta Give - she's got a lanky body, but it works for her. And while I don't agree with all of her choices, I think she picks cuts that flatter her - which is more than I can say for most younger celebs. They wouldn't know a tailor if one bit them in the ass.

Re: Diane Keaton and Ellen DeGeneres want to start a clothing line together
These two women have no fashion sense. I can understand Ellen's style because she does not feel comfortable in certain clothes but Diane always looks like a hideous frump in whatever jumbled up mess she puts together. She is the worse dressed movie star I have ever seen and I have laughed many times at her ridiculous outfits. The only time she ever looks good is when someone else dresses her for a part in a movie.
