Think before you mink
Star of the hit TLC reality show ‘Miami Ink’ Ami James has joined the PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) movement in a new anti-fur campaign.

In the PETA ad above, appropriately titled “Ink, Not Mink”, Ami James shows off some of his 40 tattoos.
In his interview with PETA, James said, “I was watching TV and then all of a sudden there was something about Roberto Cavalli’s fashion and I saw people wearing cheetah furs and all sorts of crazy things like that … to the point where I got asked to do a Cavalli vodka design and I said, ‘F*** no, I’m not doing it. I’ll never do it.’”
The ad was unveiled at his South Beach bar yesterday, when he announced banning of fur from the club. “Love animals, hate fur” is what the a new sign poster at the bar reads.
“If we wouldn’t be wearing mink, nobody would be killing (them),” James added.

There's a big difference between living vegan and not wearing or promoting fur. Technically, they don't have anthing to do with each other. So why do you mention it? It doesn't say anything about veganism on the poster, does it? Also, there is a big ethical difference between wearing fur and drinking milk. I suggest you educate yourself on the subject, before you make general assumptions.
What I'm trying to say is that I'm sick and tired of people judging those who try to make a difference, as in leave the smallest imprint possible.
Animal activists always get criticized along the lines of: "Oh, you don't wear fur, but you drink milk?" That makes no sense! Those critics are usually the steak eating, fur and leather wearing peeps who don't give a shit about anything, but deep down have a bad conscience, which is why they feel threatened when someone announces that he doesn't wear fur/eat meat/whatever. Consequently, they rather bring the person in question down that altering their own, selfish and destructive lifestyle. Way to go!

I totally agree about the NO FUR.. thing.. and I know what you mean cause when it's mentioned a whole shit load of people start with.. Peta crap and vegan and leather.. I'm talking about the fur trade and the skinning of LIVE animals..for nothing but shitty fur coats. It is just ridiculous. And the fact that China does so many of them on live animals.. PISSES ME OFF. I just don't understand it.
I was gonna post a video but I'm not even gonna go there..
Search- skinned alive/China fur trade if you want to really be pissed off.
Mean People Wear Fur.
