While speculation about Sex and the City movie plot lines continue to run hot, one thing is for certain - Carrie Bradshaw's fashion sense remains as eccentric as ever.


Sarah Jessica Parker, who reprises her role as the New York columnist in the upcoming movie, was spotted on set yesterday in a look best described as 'bag lady' chic.

The thrown-together ensemble featured thigh-high argyle socks teamed with peep-toe stilettos, a cobalt blue 'Stay alive in 85' slogan jersey and charcoal button down overcoat. Scroll down for more ...

The quirky combination broke all the usual conventions of good fashion, but of course, it's what Carrie Bradshaw has long done best.

Excitement around the upcoming movie has reached fever pitch, but Chris Noth, who plays Mr Big, says not everything is as it seems.


Earlier this month, pictures emerged from the set showing Carrie Bradshaw in a voluminous bridal gown.

He added: "It's safe to say anything is possible and anything you read in the papers, take with a healthy, healthy dose of scepticism."

Meanwhile, a source told the New York Post's Page Six, some scenes are just a rouse: "[Producers] are playing mind tricks with the fans."

"The pictures have been staged to make people think they're following a predictable plot, but these are really only dreams.

"Everyone's wondering how Charlotte could finally get pregnant after all that time. They're loving that everyone's imaginations are running wild."


While Noth wouldn't let any script details slip, he did say he's enjoying being back in Mr Big mode, adding: "Everyone's great. It's a lot of work. It's a big, robust script. I said that word, 'big!'".
Noth concluded: "Big! Robust! Script! Sort of like a wine - a good, healthy wine."

I like her hair. I always thought she looked better with darker hair, it makes her hair look healthier.

Can't wait for the movie! I actually hope her and Big don't get hitched and that Charlotte isn't really pregnant. Bad enough Samantha had to settle down from her wild flings.

And even though they broke up, I would like to see Aiden one last time. Or at least see John Corbett all clean and sexy period. He looks like a damn mountain man and he does not pull it off.

Ewww! I don't get it. If anyone else were to walk down the street in the clothes that her character wears, they would be a laughing stock. Most of the clothing she wore on SATC were hideous. Don't get me wrong.... I love the show, but I can't understand the fashion choices!

SJP looks great on the set. Thinner than usual-or as thin as she was when the show first started anyway- I like that hair color on her. I love her fashion sense, and carrie's.

HOWEVER.....................

I must say that i have been seeing all the outfits on the set, and find them to be exaggerative and completely outrageous.

I think that they are trying too hard to be even EXTRA original because it's the film, and they are just coming up with plain stupid clothing. For instance the first look of the original post-too young for carrie, and not only that it's completly un carrie.

Carrie Bradshaw's woredrobe during all six seasons of S&TC were all original, and made a statement, not so much because of the clothing but because of the attitude that was put forth by carrie.

Never had there been a character on tv who made looking good, and loving fashion so liberating.

I think they have completly forgotten that fact, and lost sight of carrie's true essence. I hope they dont do the same with the film.

I wonder whether or not Patricia Fields in still doing the wordrobe. Perhaps she's working with someone, and they have the more dominant voice-though i find that hard to believe.
