Sisley Ad
Sisley went down the wrong path here with this ad. I do appreciate bold ads, but these days we have enough of bad role models, no need to include them in promotions. The new ad slogan is "Fashion Junkie" which doesn't leave any doubt regarding the intentions of this photo. Looking at first the idea seemed smart, until you realize the creepiness. The industry has been trying hard to clean up their act with healthy looking models that eat, exercise and don't do drugs, and then a company like Sisley goes and promotes it again. Someone needs to tell them that Heroin chic is so out of fashion, and drugs are not the best way to get people to buy your products. I'm sad for Sisley, because I actually like their clothes.

I didn't start out to collect diamonds, but somehow they just kept piling up.-Mae West
it's a tad... obvious, isn't it? not subtle at all.
that said, i'm so sick of people whining about the fashion industry promoting drugs and anorexia and unhealthy lifestyles. of course it does, it's the fashion industry! this is a little world where appearances are what matters, not how they are achieved. i'm sorry but i think people are retarded if they look to the fashion industry for guidance on how to live a healthy life. it's like taking marriage advice from a hollywood celeb...
I'm open to everything. When you start to criticise the times you live in, your time is over. - Karl Lagerfeld
i love it when companies pull shit like this to get press.
Maybe that's a good ad. The message might be..... instead of sniffing coke, sniff in fashion clothing.
The ad does not make me want to buy their product. It actually just annoys me because I have never been a druggie.
My goal is to be happy with my life.
Personally I don't like it very much. I dislike most of this companys ads. I don't think it promotes drugs, it's just trying to be bold and shocking and it fails.
It really doesn't make me want to buy their products. It's gross.
But I could never get most of the Benetton ads either. Esp. the one with the bloody baby (ugh! so gross!!!) or the other one with a black horse fucking a white horse... oookay
Trying too hard to be controversial....![]()
I dunno.....it's totally tasteless but it did make me smile. Ill judged maybe.
That's ridiculous. No reason for it at all. They should be ashamed to publicly release such an ad.
Who the hell is going to run that? General outrage will follow.
