A Vogue preview of Twenty8Twelve by Sienna and Savannah Miller
Quote:
British Vogue’s Sarah Harris calls it a ‘celebrity line with a difference’, and it could be that Sienna and Savannah Miller’s clothing line, Twenty8Twelve, has a Central St Martin’s trained designer behind the label.
An exclusive preview of the collection has been unveiled in the August 2007 issue of UK Vogue, gives us a look at Sienna and Savannah modeling their own designs. A handful of the 80-piece collection called, “An Anthology of Rebellion” part Dickensian London and part Seventies New York, has been modeled by the sisters themselves.
It features skinny jeans, shrunken tux jackets, school boy trousers with braces, and bib-front t-shirts.
“People were expecting the clothes to be crappy,” admits Savannah to Vogue. “Everyone thought of it as a celebrity line launching with lots of glitz… But this isn’t just for a season or two, we’re in it for the long run and it has taken time to get it right. We have designed everything.”
Boy would I love to see sketches for their designs. Prices start from £45 for a t-shirt, £145 for a silk minidress, and up to £355 for a pleated coat.
What do you think of the pictures? Has it inspired you to perhaps buy a piece or two when it hits stores in the next few months?

Prettier than Sienna, I think...
The clothes are dull. I like the ruffled thing the sister is wearing in the first pic - feels like an updated version of an old-fashioned bed jacket, or something like that - but otherwise, it looks very uninspired.
