Nicole Richie + high-waisted shorts = cute!
What A Waist
 
With high-waisted shorts poised to be all the rage this summer, is it even a little surprising to see Nicole Richie flaunting her pair so early in the season? We caught the diminutive diva strutting into Kate Somerville yesterday afternoon sporting an Urkel-worthy pair of shorts. What do you guys think - is it a good look on Nicole, or does she need to bring that beltline down a notch?
And of course if high-waisted shorts turn out not to be the summer's big fashion hit for some strange reason, Nicole's still way ahead of the curve when it comes to sunglasses!

Considering the fiasco with the orange dress - I love how she looks here!
But I think that it also goes to show that only scarily skinny people can wear some things? (IMHO)

I think she looks adorable! The other thing about high waisted shorts is that you have to be extremely skinny to wear them--they are designed to highlight most women's problem areas.

She has no shape. Would love to see a pair of well-cut, well-fitting high-waisted shorts on someone with an actual ass, but on Nicole, they do nothing for me.

I've never particularly been a fan of high-waisted, BUT on Nicole it creates more of an hourglass shape and her legs look awesome.
