Default Models at 2017 amfAR Gala Cannes

Elsa Hosk: Striking a pose with a distinct pink, pinup mood, this Ermanno Scervino Fall 2017 gown had all the hallmarks of boudoir dressing with the exposed corset and sheer lace—distracting black heels notwithstanding.
Bianca Balti: What’s this? A model not baring it all? Bianca went for a more conservative stance in a Dolce & Gabbana black gown that oozed of old Hollywood glamour when styled with finger waves, statement jewels, and Gianvito Rossi shoes.
Joan Smalls: Between the length, the ubiquitous slit, and the collar-style neck piece, I wasn’t quite sure what to make of this Elie Saab Spring 2017 Couture dress paired with Giuseppe Zanotti sandals and gigantic hoop earrings. Hip-hop, tribal glam?

Shanina Shaik: Side boob and side leg—on both sides—left precious little to the imagination in this liquid silver Philipp Plein gown accessorised by Lorraine Schwartz jewels.
Anja Rubik: Add this Saint Laurent Fall 2017 sequin frock to the other Saint Laurent leggy minis we’ve seen at Cannes. That said, the striking, sculptural shoulder created an intriguing, otherworldly mood that made this dress look as if it would be beamed up to space any minute.
Lara Stone: I do love the fanciful sense of whimsy in this Chanel Spring 2017 Couture frock, but the dress was unflattering with the squeezed look at the bust.

Irina Shayk: Despite the paillette overload in this Prada gown, I was left missing something. Perhaps it was her hair and makeup that resonated as unfinished.
Jasmine Tookes: So beautifully embellished was this tonal black Zuhair Murad gown that it was left competing with the Bulgari necklace.
Izabel Goulart: Working another sheer gown, Izabel donned a custom Zuhair Murad gown. There’s no question the embellished detail work is dazzling in these pieces, but they have far overstayed their welcome by now—and the visible nude panties ruin it every time.

Cindy Bruna: With a darkly romantic, floral-embroidered aura, this Ulyana Sergeenko Spring 2017 Couture gown seemed at odds with the mod, geometric necklace.
Jessica Hart: I love the electric blue hue of this side train, but this Alexandre Vauthier Couture ensemble still seemed like two different pieces oddly plaed together.

Hailey Baldwin: With the hip slit back in action, Hailey wore an Elie Saab Fall 2016 Couture creation with Jimmy Choo ‘Pearl’ sandals. Despite the pin show, the velvet detailing and colour made this look a bit heavier than I would have preferred for the occasion. I do love her wispy ’do.
Barbara Palvin: I have no doubt this Prada gown will draw comparisons to a tent, as it was strongly lacking definition and shape. Plus, the breath-holding bodice looked painfully tight.

Petra Nemcova: As wispy and pretty-in-blue as this Celia Kritharioti Haute Couture gown may have been, the wave of ruffles in the front resonated as rather overworked. Chopard jewels and flashy sandals completed the look.
Camila Morrone: The bodice of this Ralph & Russo Couture gown gave me pause here, as the partial sheer illusion effect translated a bid oddly. The sky-blue, cloud-like flurry of the ball gown skirt was a beautiful accompaniment, though.

    Doutzen Kroes:
The colours were vibrant, but the cut was quite uninspired.
Kate Upton: Mummy glamour is clearly what Kate was channeling here. Only the accessories including Chopard jewels, an Edie Parker clutch and Giuseppe Zanotti sandals should be salvaged out of this look.
Maria Borges: With a pristine white Carolina Herrera Resort 2017 dress, Maria stood out for her classic approach. Aquazzura shoes and de GRISOGONO jewelry completed the dress.

    Coco Rocha
: Coco turned to the goth side, with a new black pixie cut and an equally dark Jean Paul Gaultier gown. But this dramatic vamp look was far too severe with almost costume-y leanings.
Anna Cleveland: I’m afraid Anna’s Jean Paul Gaultier captured none of my affection either—from its dull mauve-rose colour to the overworked tonal embroidery, sleeves, and boob swirls.
Laury Thilleman: Well, it goes from bad to worse as the third time was certainly not the charm in this bold Jean Paul Gaultier geometric fringe dress that was like some mad form of space-age Cleopatra. Among many faults, it blatantly showed off her nude bra and panties underneath.

I actually like the very first one if you were into Dita Von Teese cosplay. It could be fun for that. Maybe add a riding crop and a cocktail hat? But it just kept getting worse and worse after that...

Some of them are interesting. I hate Barbara Palvin's dress and styling, I guess she's a famous model, name sounds familiar. I like Bianca Balti, Izabel Goulart's dress is sheer and that ruins it but otherwise the cut is interesting.

I just love the purple dress Hailey is wearing. I can't tell what is going on at the waist. But I love this.
