Yeah that's the first thing that I thought too. Here's another photo where the brooch has moved from her coat to her dress. Does she shift her jewelry around when she removes her jacket?

That's a smashing colour on her. What would you call that shade of green?

I would probably call it lime.

The Queen has such style. Compare to the dull and drab Duchess of Cambridge at Normandy:

She looks great and I love her hat.

OT, but how obvious that the US and Russia are sooooo far apart now. Obama on one side and Putin on the extreme other.

I like that colour on her. I wonder how much that brooch would cost?!

It's known as the Fringe Brooch and originally belonged to Queen Victoria and it's passed down through the family since. HMQ ALWAYS wears a brooch on her left shoulder - Lord knows she has plenty to choose from.

I'm not a fan of green generally and especially not that shade but she carries it off. Kate really needs to raise her game now. I think she aiming for understated elegance and "look at my awesome hair" at every opportunity but it's just predictable and boring.

Yeah, it's a nice soft lime though, not too harsh.

Queenie does Spring colours so well, I'll give her that.

    So morbid but yeah.

HMQ seems to be in great health for her age, but as a near nonagenarian she has frailties. To me it looks like she has done quite a few events recently and will probably continue the pace during the summer with events like the royal garden parties, and he, who is an actual nonagenarian with health issues, has been right there with HMQ at most of these events.
