I like what she was going for with the color but the dark brown is way too dark.

For her, this is great. She could have squeezed into another set of Spanx, to accentuate her waist, but for her--this looks good.
I don't care for her hair, either, but she's had far worse hairstyles.

I actually quite like the dress on her, she and Tom look lovely together. I think it's the hairstyle and the harsh eye makeup that are ruining it for me.
