you have to watch it. don't hesitate. it won the palme d'or and the graphic novel won the prix du public at angoulême. some of the scenes can be very in-your-face. they are raw but filmed tastefully enough and after the initial surprise wears off, you sort of get used to it. i enjoyed the movie because it complements the graphic novel. it slows down and fills you in on bits where julie maroh rushes through or where she could have explained more. it's slow going and long (3 hours!) but touching and tender right up until the end. they did change the ending in the movie but i felt it didn't matter. it didn't make me like the story any less. other people might feel different about that. and it's been months since i read the graphic novel, but it's still there on my nightstand.

i also heard something like that. léa seydoux is without a doubt the better actress in that movie but i fondly remember all of adèle's spaghetti eating moments.

also, i forgot to mention this but i want her shoes.
