Natalie Portman's Recent Style

I don't really like her, but I normally always liked her style. Lately, though, she has been making the strangest and most unflattering fashion choices.

Plus, she smokes, which seems really opposed to her public persona.

I am soooo curious to see how her life and her career plays out. I've had my eye on this girl since The Professional and have many expectations of her. So far, she's lived up to them. So far...

You know, there's something strange about this girl and I can't figure out what it is...she's got nice features (face wise) but she makes herself ugly. I don't know if it's the short butchy haircut or what. I don't dig her style at all. If she tried to be more mainstream instead of 'different', I think she'd look prettier...she has the potential of being attractive.

^ To me, the haircut can be forgiven because it was for a movie. She's letting it grow and it's in one of those awkward stages where there isn't a whole lot to do with it. I usually give up at about that point and go cut it short again because I'm sick of being frustrated over weird hair.

I think shes amazing. She's not at all fake, shes veryy pretty, she can act, and she's educated.

How many celibrities out there (ESPECIALLY young females) stick to their guns? She doesnt tan or sleep around..she doesnt get plastic surgery, and shes not in the spotlight 100% of the time for EVERYTHING she does.

She also gave up acting for a few years to go to Harvard, which she got into and graduated from..not many can say that. And she didnt even need to - she picks movie roles that work for her that she can execute wonderfully.

As for her "waif" style - she has ALWAYS been skinny. its natural for her. shes still experimenting with her look, and so far her bohemian/hippy thing works for her..its better than being draped in sequins and extensions.

I wanna have an excuse to go buy pretty dresses all the time and go shopping for shoes and wear make-up and be girly all the time for all my many premiers!!! WAAAAAHHH!!!

It's true, though. I love to shop and get dressed up!

she has tiny little carnie hands, they're so deformed looking. you really notice them in closer when she's on the bed with jude....

I still haven't seen that movie. It's because I have such a problem with infedility and adultery. Wait a sec, that seems misleading... I mean... I look down on people who cheat. So if I'm gonna watch a movie about cheaters, it's gonna have to be a good one, and I'm gonna have to be in the mood to watch it.

^^ The other night I watched a TV show about the relationship between Aristote Onassis and Maria Callas, it was good and I loved the actors, but I felt uncomfortable all the time because I felt so bad for the respective spouses they cheated on and then ditched!!!!

Maybe she's following her own advice, for once, and not wasting so much time thinking about the way she looks?

Am getting more than a little sick of all the bullshit Miss Portman has been spouting lately; I though that was a real gem, coming from a Hollywood actress. For such an allegedly smart person - and I realize that it does take some kind of intelligence to take a Harvard degree - she comes off as remarkably dumb sometimes, don't you think?
