Can someone explain to me WTF is going on here? The first picture I don't get ... what is covering her face and WHY? And the other two, is that supposed to be blood dripping down the front of her and on her hand? Again, WHY? I don't really pay attention to this Lady GaGa at all, and I'm kinda ... confused? I just don't get the appeal AT ALL.

she's had a ton of costume changes, too. After that she was sitting in the audience with a straw-type wreath around her face. it was even worse.

I have to say her performance was one of the best LIVE VMA I have ever seen. She sang. No lip service here and she sounded good. Yeah. The clothes were strange but I have to say I did kinda like the first thing she wore while walking the red carpet. It would be something I would wear if I sprained my neck.

Making a statement: GaGa wore a feathered headdress as she sat in the audience with the white wedding dress style sheath

Oh and the red get-up reminds me of a scene in the movie Legend! There was some dancer at the devil's place wearing a similar black outfit when the devil (Tim Curry) was trying to corrupt Mia Sara. Yeah, obviously I saw that movie too many times.
