Actually, for her current size and shape, this is a big improvement. It's a proper dress as opposed to ill-fitting jeans and t-shirt. And it's in a flattering cut, empire waist, flowy layers that don't accentuate any rolls or bumps. The color and print is a matter of taste, but personally I kind of like it. If she had more confidence and better posture she could totally pull it off.
It could be fitted a little bit better since it looks like one of the straps is sort of falling off her shoulder. Maybe her hair and makeup could be more polished but at least they were both definitely "done." She did make an effort, is what I'm trying to say.

This is the best she's looked lately. I don't care for the print on the dress, but I agree that the cut is good for her.

The cut of the dress is good for her, but it would look much better in a solid color. She needs a new hairstyle though.

She looks ok, but the dress is a hideous mess.
I just got a new wide screen monitor and god, everyone looks so fat, this sucks! So if I say anyone anorexic is fat, you'll know why lol.
