Hate the belt with that (Michelle's) dress. Carla Bruni looks great.

She has a very short torso and that belt is showing it off ..
I dont like the hair either, she could look better in a different hairstyle and clothes.

MO is a pear shape with the added problem of a very short body with a waist almost under her bustline. That belt does nothing to disguise it. It's a difficult shape to find flattering styles for. The length is perfect. Carla looks like a corpse and MO is waaay taller. Ha ha ha

i like the idea of what she is wearing but the belt is entirely too high.
she still looks good though.

I like everything except the belt.
Carla should lay off the botox or whatever she's doing to her face.

i don't mind the belt so much as the high, round collar. i think it ages the whole outfit. you can be classic and appropriate without being old ladyish and the high round collar often looks matronly unless you're very fine boned.
i really like her shoes. MO sometimes has ugly high cut shoes that have the same ageing effect as the round collar.
carla bruni's outfit isn't bad but she needs lipstick and less boring shoes. i know she's trying to be all elegant and classy now so people will forget she got knocked up by her ex-boyfriend's son but that doesn't mean she has to look washed out.
