That hair cut and natural dark ashy shade make her look dowdy and middle aged. I don't think she's even in her mid 30s yet.

I think the cut of the jacket throws the proportions of this outfit off. She has a cute little nose.

Why does she have my Dad's haircut?

She can pull off short hair but she needs a more feminine style. She'd look cute with a pixie cut. This just looks mannish or butch lesbian or sadly, like she's growing out her hair after chemo.
