Nigella Lawson literally took a walk on the wild side yesterday as she jazzed up a plain black dress with 5.5-inch zebra print wedges.
The kitchen goddess brought a touch of safari-based glamour to the Deadly Sins book launch at The English Speaking Union in Mayfair as she arrived donning the eye-catching footwear.
She completed her daring outfit with a bright fuschia pink clutch bag.

The 49-year-old is the latest celebrity to don the Tigresse Zebra Printed Hairy Calf designed by Christian Louboutin.

The towering shoes are becoming the summer season's must-have and were last seen on US singer Christina Aguilera earlier this month.
The shoes sell for £295 and look set to become a staple of celebrities' summer wardrobes.
Miss Lawson, who is married to 65-year-old art collector Charles Saatchi, is known as the Domestic Goddess after her book of the same name kicked off her career as a celebrity cook.
Last year she put on weight while filming her Nigella Bites show, but slimmed down again by taking up Pilates and has been looking better than ever.
‘I like my food and I'm not going to diet so it has to be exercise for me,’ the mother-of-two has said.
‘Everyone keeps asking me if I have lost weight but I haven't.
‘I took up Pilates classes to help with my bad back some months ago and since I've been doing them, I've actually dropped a couple of dress sizes.’
Her husband, however, got in shape through slightly less conventional means.
Mr Saatchi revealed last year how he had lost four stone by eating nine eggs a day for nine months.

I have wedges that high, but the pattern is not nearly as tacky. Yeah, I wore them once and almost broke my ankle so they're in my closet for good now.
Everyone is entitled to be stupid, but some abuse the privilege.

The shoes are hideous. I hate zebra print, period. I don't think it ever really looks that good. My Mum has a big zebra coat, and gawd is it tacky. (and a miniskirt to match)
