Hmm, so according to scripture quoted in the Wiki article, the dead are dead, and not in heaven at all, and they won't go to heaven until they are resurrected? So they are basically "sleeping" and in limbo? The way I hear christians talking is, if you are a christian and true believer, you go straight to heaven. But the scripture quote in Wiki seems to contradict that.

That's a wonderful idea! You should definitely go into work on the 8th or so, and act all worried about your wonderful christian friends. Just say they literally vanished, and no one knows where they went. She'll probably think she was left behind.

There are different theories on the Rapture. One belief is that the faithful will be taken up to heaven before all hell breaks loose on Earth. The Bible also says that NO ONE knows when it will be-not even the angels in heaven. This sounds like one of those nutty off-shoots. I dislike preaching fear.

A while ago in that psyhic thread, IDK it was that guy that predicted Britney Spears was going to kill herself on Dec. 2nd. Didn't he say Jesus was going to show the world something in June of 08? I don't believe in rapture, and none of that guy's predictions have come to pass. Just something I thought of.
