It's working. We're planning our next trip there...and remember it's nearly two hours to drive to the town it's in. Yup, Jebus's special sauce is luring me back.

Butt, you have been away too long, I was driven to Wikipedia, to see what silverside beef was-do you mean it was corned beef? I am still hazy on what exactly it means.

I thought that silverside was a specified cut of beef, like a joint of silverside is a nice piece of meat for a roast dinner.

Butt - ask them what the sauce is and write down the sammich description from the menu.... oh & take photos!

Wow! Now Butt can whip this up at home-hot ketchup? I have to say-might be worth the 1,000 calories per bite!

I'm going back next week, I think, and I will mesmerize them with my hairy eyeball and thus drag the recipe out of them. Otherwise, I'll join up and post the recipe here in oh, say, 6-12 months.

Silverside in Australia is usually known as corned beef elsewhere. But it's not out of a tin. Home made. I have a great recipe if anyone is interested zzzzzzzzzzz

Yeah, it's nothing like corned beef like you'd find in the UK or the states. It's basically cured beef and it's bloody delicious.

Hmm, that menu sounds pretty good. Butt, if you try the recipe at home, make sure you report back here and with that it would also let us know you didnt join anything for a sammich.
