Default So I went to the Scientology Center today...

Basically, I went for the free stress test

I held two metal cans and there was a little needle that went up and down dependant on my "stress"

I did notice however that if I took my fingers off the cans, or changed positions, or even squeezed harder they'd drop as well.

Anyways he asked me some questions like...what stresses me in my life? And then who were you thinking of just then? What stresses you out about that.

Then some things in my life. And I talked about my disappointment in how I wasn't able to go to the american school I wanted...

Then there was this huuuuuuuuuge round-a-bout conversation.

What do you want to change about yourself to fix this problem? What's between you and your goal? Uhh....I need money to pay for tuition. And how do you prevent yourself from doing this? Uhhh...I don't have the education to pay for a high enough job. And what do you need to change about yourself to change this?

Anways I asked the person what drew them to Scientology and he said, he read the Dianetics book and joined. I asked him about Xenu. "Who's Xenu? What's Xenu?"

I went with a friend and yes I was kind of drunk at the time

Their bathroom didn't have a toilet lid.

Apparently Xenu is only revealed to you when you're a tenth level Thetan or whatever..

Now I want to go. And don't they know how unsanitary it is to not have a lid on teh toilet? Tiny particles splash out if the lid isn't down...that is really gross.

I have messed with a couple cults(The Forum-used to be EST) just to cause trouble for them but would not do the same with $cientology...too crazy and too much money and resources.

I stopped by the Scientology Center when I was in LA. It was surrounded by all these cars with the blacked out windows and heavily guarded in the front. They had little teenagers on bikes patrolling around the back entrance. It was so WEIRD.

No, I didn't see Tom or any of his buddies going in or out.

A journalism student from my uni went to a scientology centre here in downtown Van and got a personality test and published the report in our student news paper. The test basically determines what is wrong with you and your life and they'll tell you what you can do to fix it (it of course is to join Scientology).

She was asked her personal info but was smart enough to bring fake ID and told them some fake addy and phone number, otherwise she woulda prolly gotten stalked and harrased forever.

Go SVZ!!! Did this moron really not know about Xenu?? You shoulda lured him to Gossiprocks where all is revealed.
Seriously though, it concerns me very deeply that there are still so many schmucks out there who get sucked into these cults and don't appear to have the smarts to work out it's all a total crock. Unfortunately, it's the vulnerable, naive, troubled, damaged people who these cults prey on. They are very clever at picking out the likely 'candidates' from those who they know won't be conned into joining. I've said before, I can understand why Tom Cruise would be the type to join, he's just another dumb, egomaniac, controlfreak moviestar after all. But I've always been VERY disappointed that John Travolta would be involved too. He always struck me as having more intelligence - but obviously I was wrong.
