The shooter's father can get the fuck out of my country if he hates it here so much.

The pro-Taliban father of the Orlando terrorist who slaughtered 49 people in a gay nightclub released a video Monday hours after the massacre saying, “God will punish those involved in homosexuality.”
Seddique Mateen, the Afghan-born father of gunman Omar Mateen, previously had distanced himself from his son’s early Sunday attack inside a packed Pulse nightclub.
“I didn’t raise him that way,” Seddique told ABC News. “We gave him enough love and care and education that he knew better.”
But hours later, Seddique Mateen posted a video – which was not recorded in English – to his Facebook page condemning homosexuality, and saying it’s “not an issue that humans should deal with,” CBS News reported.
The rapid turnaround is not unusual for Seddique, who frequently posts Internet videos, broadcasts an anti-Afghan government television show from California, and fancies himself the true president of his native country, The Washington Post reported. Seddique said he was the leader of the “transitional revolutionary government,” and claimed to have his own intelligence agency, The Post reported.
He also claimed ties to congressional leaders and posted photos on his Facebook page showing him standing in front of a State Department office in April.
"We have no record of any meetings between State Department policy officials and Seddique Mateen," State Department Spokesperson Mark Toner said Monday.
Other images showed Seddique posing with Rep. Charlie Rangel, Rep. Dana Rohrabacher and Rep. Ed Royce.
Rangel said he was stopped in a hallway for a photo with Seddique, and Royce said his meeting with Seddique was brief as well, Buzzfeed reported. Rohrabacher told Buzzfeed he didn’t remember meeting Seddique but that it wouldn't surprise him because “I’ve been very active” on issues related to Afghanistan.
Seddique’s show is watched by some people in Afghanistan but is consumed mostly by Afghan natives living in America, CBS News reported, citing a senior Afghan intelligence source.
The show is known for “its anti-U.S. tirades,” a former Afghan official told the Associated Press.
In one of his videos posted to YouTube, Seddique praiseed the Taliban.
“Our brothers in Waziristan, our warrior brothers in [the] Taliban movement and national Afghan Taliban are rising up,” he said, The Post reported.
In a video posted to Facebook hours before his son attacked Pulse, Seddique -- wearing military fatigues -- ordered Afghan officials to imprison among others current President Ashraf Ghani, for whom he once campaigned in the U.S.
“They are against our countrymen, and against our homeland,” Seddique reportedly said.

Ummm, appears the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. I wondered why the dad was so quick to appear on TV last night to give an interview. Looking for more publicity for himself, I see.

His ex-wife was also on. This guy was a real abusive SOB and her family had to raid the house to essentially kidnap her from the guy to save her. She said she would probably be dead if they didn't do that.

Gunman Omar Mateen Described as Belligerent, Racist and 'Toxic'

Investigators probing gunman Omar Mateen's massacre at least 49 people at a popular gay nightclub in Florida are trying to determine whether terrorism, homophobia or both pushed him over the edge. <img class="img-responsive img_inline" src="http://media4.s-nbcnews.com/j/newscms/2016_23/1575896/160612-noor-mateen-jsw-957p_9b5b237078fa37023b7319736b30d0d9.nbcnews-fp-360-360.jpg" alt="Image: Noor Mateen and Omar Mateen" title="Image: Noor Mateen and Omar Mateen" itemprop="image"/> Noor Mateen and husband Omar Mateen are seen in a Facebook profile photo. via Facebook
A few key revelations about his past came to light hours after the 29-year-old was identified as the shooter who took hostages at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando early Sunday.

He was subsequently killed by a SWAT team.

    • An ex-co-worker told NBC News that Mateen was racist, belligerent and "toxic."
    • His father told NBC News his son was enraged after recently seeing a same-sex couple kissing in front of his family, an event that could have set him off.
    • In 2013, Mateen was interviewed twice by federal agents after co-workers reported that he made "inflammatory" comments to them about radical Islamic propaganda. The following year, the FBI looked at him again because of ties with an American who traveled to the Middle East to become a suicide bomber.
    • Law enforcement sources told NBC News he swore allegiance to the leader of ISIS, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, in a 911 call moments before the rampage at Pulse.
    • There's no indication that Mateen was in touch with terrorists overseas or that the attack was directed by someone else, a law enforcement officials told NBC News. Nor is there evidence that anyone helped or encouraged him, several officials said.

Investigators are looking into whether religious extremism motivated the attack.
Mateen, who lived roughly two hours south of Orlando in Fort Pierce, worked as a security guard.
Daniel Gilroy, a co-worker at G4S Secure Solutions — formerly known as Wackenhut — told NBC News that Mateen was a "very conscientious" employee who was often early for work and was fascinated by law enforcement.

He was also loud, "very excitable" and racist, Gilroy said. "He was scary in a concerning way," he said. "And it wasn't at times. It was all the time. He had anger management issues. Something would set him off, but the things that would set him off were always women, race or religion. [Those were] his button pushers."
Working with Mateen was so difficult that Gilroy said he requested a transfer.

"I needed to be out of that situation," he said. "I described it as being toxic."
Mateen "always referred to every other race, religion, gender in a derogatory way," Gilroy added. "He did not like black people at all. That was mentioned once or twice, but more so was women. He did not like women at all. He did like women in a sexual way, but he did not respect them."
His father told NBC News that his son was affected by a recent incident involving two men showing each other affection.

The dad needs to go back to the war torn shit hole he came from.

I have no problems with people coming here from 3rd world countries. But what I can't possibly understand is why some people come from a horrible situation to a new country, then try to turn it into the place they came from.

I'm sorry. But if motherfuckers cannot live like it is 2016, then they need to go back to where it is ok to try and live like it's 600AD.

Seriously, I am just quoting what I saw on 20/20 last night. That's all the knowledge I have. That's what one of the survivors said as he played dead so he wouldn't get shot.

Anderson Cooper's emotional tribute to victims

    By Leinz Vales, CNN
Updated 9:25 PM ET, Mon June 13, 2016

(CNN)On Monday evening, less than 48 hours after the deadliest terror attack on American soil since 9/11, Anderson Cooper began his prime time program with a tribute to the 49 lives lost in the Orlando, Florida, nightclub shooting.

Noting that his broadcast would neither display photos nor mention the name of the dead gunman, the CNN anchor emotionally listed the names of those killed in the attack at Pulse nightclub as their names scrolled on the ticker at the bottom of the screen.
"In the next two hours we want to try to keep the focus where we think it belongs, on the people whose lives were cut short," Cooper said.
Orlando club fatalities include accountant, bouncer
The tribute lasted nearly seven minutes, and paired facts and faces to those victims who were still being identified as late as Monday morning.
"They are more than a list of names. They are people who loved and who were loved," Cooper said.

Democrats Derail Paul Ryan's Moment Of Silence For Orlando Shooting

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The U.S. House of Representatives erupted in shouting on Monday as lawmakers held a moment of silence to honor the victims of the Orlando mass shooting as Democrats protested the Republican-led chamber’s refusal to consider tighter gun regulations.

After Speaker Paul Ryan, the House’s Republican leader, called for the moment of silence, Representative James Clyburn asked for recognition to ask about guns. Clyburn, the number three House Democrat, is from South Carolina, where a gunman killed nine people at the Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church a year ago on Friday.

Ryan ruled Clyburn out of order, and the chamber erupted with shouts of “No Leadership,” and chants of “Where’s the bill? Where’s the bill? Where’s the bill?” from Democrats.

Several Democrats had said they would not participate in a moment of silence to mark the worst mass shooting in modern U.S. history, in which a gunman killed 49 people and wounded 53 at a gay nightclub in Orlando.

They said they were frustrated that Congress does not respond to mass shootings with more than symbolic gestures.

Isn't there anything that can be done about the piece of shit father? I mean, I thought I had seen everything but a guy defending what his son did and trashing the victims is just beyond the pale. Can't he get deported? Stripped of citizenship? Something?

I hope to christ we get gun laws after this. And fuck Paul Ryan and all the others that "hope and pray" and do fuck all else.

And I'm not at all shocked by the shooter having a gay dating app. When I first heard the news, I told someone that I would bet anything that police would find gay porn on his computer or something, that he had homosexual urges and tried to punish gay men for it. Homophobia is a sick thing, this man was a sick piece of shit, raised by a sick piece of shit.
