Wow, I missed a lot of that because I was picking up my kids from camp. What I did hear was the Judge saying something like "did you not read the sign about making disparaging remarks or gestures?" The guy he was talking to sounded really intimidated, but now you actually have me thinking he soiled his clothing in a packed courtroom.

Why in the world would someone flip off Ashton, of all people? Is the guy Cheney Mason's son or something?

I have a question for the masses...everything I read references that the whole family is dysfunctional or fucked up. As far as I can tell everything that seems totally out of whack is from Casey's mouth/lies. The only thing that pinged for me some was denying her pregnancy, but was knowledge of that from people other than Casey? That wouldn't have been totally out of the norm a couple of generations ago. I'm just curious why the whole family is considered dysfunctional.

^great question b/c I don't think the rest of the family is all that wack (just normal wack, like us) lol. I think Cindy is or was extremely controlling.. she seems like the type of mom that has her fingers on the pulse of their household/world. I think she's a strong force and was constantly on Casey wanting to know where she was, when she worked, where's Caylee, etc.

I think Casey resented her for it (obviously). Plus Cindy was way more involved with Caylee & even tho Casey didn't want the responsibility of really raising Caylee, she still resented her mom for it. I also read on another msg board that if Caylee went to either one of them, she'd pick Cindy first.

I've read/heard George threw his dad through a plate glass window, he had a huge gambling habit, and I think there was something else but I can't recall.

The only thing I've heard about Lee is he's kind of odd (CMA I miss you speech comes to mind) and then yesterday when Jesse took the stand, he said Casey told him a story about Lee - she woke up and Lee was standing over her (at night, she was sleeping in bed).

Sorry, I know this long and probably already stuff you all know. I thought it was kind of shocking that GA threw his dad through glass?....
eta: I guess they are a little messed up - lol.

George Anthony has the handwriting of a girl.

I don't see this as admitting any guilt for anyone, but a man that let his family down by not protecting his granddaughter.

As far as the family disfunction, I don't think Cindy was a control freak, otherwise she would have figured out Casey didn't have a real job. I think Cindy is an enabler who recognized early on that Casey was demanding, and did whatever she had to please Casey and not "set her off" or rock the boat. Casey had all the control, not Cindy. Maybe Caylee was George and Cindy's chance to do it right with an angel child, and not a demon. A combo of that and the fact that Casey didn't really want to be a mother did Caylee in. She could have very easily gave Caylee to her parents and walked away to do whatever, but I think she used Caylee to control her parents.

I agree with you Louis. I've seen my step sis give her 2 adopted daughters everything and more, the girls never knew true consequences growing up and were never told no. Now in their very early twenties they have no self control and think the world owes them.

The defense is so stupid for introducing the suicide attempt and letting the note in:

I cannot be strong anymore. Caylee Marie, our granddaughter, I miss her, I miss her so much. I know you do too.

You were always the one that provided for her. What did I provide?

I blame myself for her being gone! You know for months, as a matter of fact, for a year or so I brought stuff up, only to be told not to be negative.

Caylee Marie, I miss her. I miss her. I want my family back.

I sit here, falling apart, because I should have done more.

She was so close to home, why was she there? Who placed her there? Why is she gone? Why?

For months, you & I, especially you always questioned, why?

I want this to go away for Casey! What happened? Why could she not come to us? Especially you, why not Lee?

Who is involved with this stuff for Caylee?
Yeah, really sounds like a grandpa who would've found his granddaughter drowned and not done a thing to save her, instead throwing her in the bushes like a piece of trash, doesn't it?

I knew it was a longshot, but I'm a bit disappointed she didn't take the stand.

The defense case was such a joke, what did they have to lose? Even if she just lied and cried, there would've been a chance that at least ONE juror would have pitied her. And she totally missed her chance to use those great acting skills!

As it stands now, the only impression they have of her are those jailhouse tapes, and those were really BAD. I don't shock easily, but I couldn't believe what a cold bitch she was.

Pfffft, like that guy has any morals? If he did, he wouldn't have presented that ridiculous opening statement. Or is it ok to lie for a guilty client in OS, just not let her testify?

I think he worried she couldn't keep her lies straight under oath.

^ Haha, I know, but I still wanted to see it!

Guess she's not such a great actress after all.

I have a question, once the jury goes into deliberations, can Casey still plead out? What is the last possible moment she can take a plea deal?

Wow. I understand the guy broke the law but to take the time out of the case to have a hearing during the trial and then the judge kept saying how much money the state spent on the trial well now time has just been wasted for this and now Florida will spend more money to incarcerate this guy for 6 day. Just fine him already and get on with it.

Me, too. It would have been very interesting to watch.

Idk about this but I think once it goes to deliberations, that's it. From there, the jury decides cause the trial is over. Maybe the plea is only viable before trial is set OR up until it goes to deliberations. Anyone know?

They interviewed this woman who was a court appointed bodyguard to Casey Anthony at one time on the Today show this morning:

    Very interesting observations, IMO...
