Meh, sounds to me like she's insisting on testifying and in a rare showing of professional competency, they want her declared incompetent to force her to stay off the stand. Bunch of fucking fuckwad fucknuts if you ask me (yes, that's a supportable legal position) - who the hell suddenly goes incompetent in the middle of a trial?

I don't think Casey has claimed that, and we don't know if she or her lawyers wanted the tests for Casey. How can N.G make these claims and be so unobjective?
I think there's something wrong with that part. Hasn't she driven some of her "guests" to suicide in the past?

I don't know. I have always avoided watching her before this trial. I can't stand her.
I swear, she is off her meds or PMSing big time.

Nah, she's evil incarnate. Whatever she's doing is perfectly normal for her. I abhor her and can't even watch commercials for her show without wanting to hurt someone.

Casey Anthony's Father, George Anthony, Denies Affair

On the first day of the Casey Anthony trial, defense attorney Jose Baez told jurors that Casey's father, George, had an affair with a woman who was helping look for missing 2-year-old Caylee Anthony.

On Tuesday, George Anthony had his first opportunity to address those claims. The defense asked him about a relationship with Krystal Holloway, a woman who had searched for Caylee.

"Did you have a romantic relationship with her?" Baez asked.

"No," answered Anthony with a laugh. "I find that very funny."

"How did you meet her?" asked Baez.

"She was someone who volunteered at our site," answered Anthony, who was testifying for the fourth time. "I considered her a friend. She worked at our command center to help us find Caylee."

Holloway told police that during an intimate moment, George Anthony confided that Caylee's death was "an accident that snowballed out of control."

"Did you say that to her?" asked Baez.

"No," answered Anthony. "I didn't confide with anyone during that time."

During the testimony, several jurors swiveled their chairs towards George Anthony, watching him intently. Cindy Anthony shook her head in the gallery, while Casey Anthony stared on impassively.

Years ago, she berated a female guest (Melinda Duckett) who had claimed someone had abducted her toddler, while she was watching TV. The guest soon after committed suicide, and the toddler was never found.

Yeah she was off her rocker last night. I don't know how her guests kep coming back. LOL. There is a blonde criminal defense attorney that is sometimes on (and was last night) and everytime I see her on the show NG goes ballistic on her. "Put her back up on the screen!"

Meter reader who found Caylee Anthony's remains testifies

Defense attorneys for Casey Anthony say Roy Kronk moved girl's remains

Roy Kronk discovered Caylee's remains in December 2008 in a wooded area near the Anthony family's Orlando home. Under questioning at the murder trial of the girl's mother, Casey Anthony, Kronk denied ever moving them.

Kronk is a key witness as defense attorneys continue a strategy of casting doubt on the forensic evidence in the case.

In opening statements, the defense suggested that Kronk tampered with the 2-year-old's remains and might have moved them at some point in hopes of claiming a cash reward for finding her. They hinted at that motive during questioning Tuesday, but Kronk denied it.

Kronk first told police in August 2008 that he saw something suspicious in the woods along his route, not far from the Anthony home. Kronk called authorities three times over several days, but they found nothing at the time.

"I saw an object that looked a little odd to me," Kronk testified Tuesday. "I told them I saw an object that looked like a skull."

Defense attorney Cheney Mason asked Kronk if he touched the suspicious object or moved it when he saw it in August.

"I never was closer than 30 feet to that bag," Kronk said.

Kronk returned to the area in December 2008 and spotted the remains, which were then recovered by authorities.

Mason asked Kronk if he shared what he'd seen in August with anyone else. Kronk said he mentioned it in passing to a roommate, but nothing beyond that.

Kronk said only "I believe so" when asked if he knew there was an award being offered for finding the child.

Nearly every member of the jury could be seen taking notes while Kronk testified.

The first witness called Tuesday morning was a former team leader of Texas Equusearch volunteers who searched for Caylee Anthony.

Defense attorney Cheney Mason was asking Joseph Jordan why his testimony Tuesday about knowing the location where 2-year-old Caylee Anthony's remains were found differed from previous statements he gave to law enforcement.

Mason eventually asked Jordan if he'd ever been threatened with felony prosecution, and Jordan invoked his Fifth Amendment rights against self-incrimination.

The prosecution objected and the jury was sent out. Following arguments by both attorneys about the question, Judge Belvin Perry ruled that he would instruct them to disregard that Jordan took the Fifth.

The defense also called Casey's father George Anthony to the stand again Tuesday and asked him about whether he had an affair with a woman who volunteered during the search for Caylee.

He denied having a romantic relationship with the woman, Krystal Holloway, and said he knew her by the name River Cruz. He admitted to visiting her home on a handful of occasions, but said it was only to comfort her as she dealt with a brain tumor.

"Sir, I never had a romantic relationship with Krystal Holloway or whatever she wants to call herself to you or in the world," George Anthony said during the sometimes contentious examination by defense attorney Jose Baez. "I did go there just to console her. ... She also explained that to my wife, sir."

Anthony also denied ever telling the woman that Caylee's death was "an accident that snowballed out of control."

"I never confided in any volunteers or anybody on the search," he said. "Never did."

The trial resumed a day after Casey Anthony's attorneys sought a mistrial and the judge ruled she was competent to continue the trial after her own lawyers questioned her mental health.

Anthony's attorneys told the judge they did not believe she was competent. They said that assessment was based on their privileged communication with her but did not elaborate in a motion filed Saturday and sealed until the judge ruled Monday.

The motion halted what had been expected to be a full day of testimony Saturday by witnesses. After meeting with attorneys, Perry told courtroom attorneys and spectators that a "legal matter" had come up that would delay proceedings.

Perry asked for a review of whether Anthony could comprehend the charges against her and the possible penalties and if she could testify relevantly if called to the stand. Anthony was examined by three psychologists over the weekend. After reading their reports, Perry ruled Monday the trial should continue.

"Based upon the reports that the court has reviewed, the court will find that the defendant is competent to proceed," Perry said at the start of Monday's hearing.

Anthony has pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder and could face the death penalty if convicted of that charge. Her defense attorneys claim her daughter accidentally drowned in the family's swimming pool. Defense attorneys also contend that Anthony and her father covered up the accident.

George Anthony has denied any such theory.

Detective Yuri Melich of the Orange County Sheriff's Office was the first witness to take the stand Monday.

Under questioning from Anthony's attorney, he conceded that he had never examined George Anthony's cell phone records and that a cadaver dog never sniffed out cars driven by George Anthony and his wife, Cindy.

Melich also said he had mixed up the dates he gave the jury for when he took Kronk's deposition, and that he never asked for Kronk's cell phone records or confiscated his computer. Melich said it was not intentional but he had the dates mixed up.

Also testifying for the defense Monday were Kenneth Furton, a chemistry professor at the International Forensic Research Institute at Florida International University and an expert on chemicals and human decomposition.

Furton told the jury that the same chemicals found in human remains were also present in the trash found in Anthony's trunk. He said fatty acids in Velveeta cheese and salami, both found in the trunk, are identical to the compounds found when a human body decomposes. He also said that chloroform can be found at very high levels in common household cleaners like bleach.

I have no clue what will happen with this trial. They may let her walk. What a fricking mess and three ring circus, on both sides.

The whole Anthony family is one fucked up unit.

Why didn't anyone ask Kronk if he saw the duct tape on the skull while he was there? That is driving me nuts.

Meryl doesn't even try anymore. She just calls Lanvin and asks for curtains with a belt.~Bitter

Because the defense doesn't want to hear the answer. If I am not mistaken (and I could be) the prosecution can't ask anything on cross unless the defense introduces it. They can ask that question when the state does rebuttal at the end of the trial. Of course, Baez and team are such clowns that they may open the door to that line of questioning any time.

Is that why Baez did not ask George if he molested Casey? Or if Cindy knew about George's relationship with River Cruz, or if Lee molested his sister? Or if Kronk moved the body?

George Anthony's back on the stand today, talking about how he smelled human decomp when he picked the car up from the tow place...and also briefly discussed his suicide attempt. He is really getting agitated with Baez. At one point Prosecutor Ashton objected saying Baez was being argumentative, and George says "Yeah you are being argumentative" LOL it gave me a good laugh.

He was then explaining why they supported Casey for so long and he plainly said, at first he did not believe she was capable of doing something like this to her own daughter...He's getting all choked up and you can tell that it is really hard for him to accept the reality of all this.

George does that same fake bullshit crying like Casey has done for most of this trial. His kleenex never gets wet or shrinks up. He has it folded and just dabs and blots his eyes, but no real tears.

I would have loved to have heard the conversation between George and Cindy after the trial yesterday.....
