Life is so cruel. At least I hope she didn't suffer.

    Humans really are depraved.

So sad. I feel horrible for the family and the community...
I agree even if it wasn't him, why wait until he goes further than a kiss? They just rearrested a level 3 sex offender around here recently some people are just evil. My heart goes out to her family.

Whoa!!! Just reading some of the latest on this.....

Sunday school teacher Melissa Huckaby arrested in connection to murder of Sandra Cantu, California 8-year-old found dead in suitcase

A Sunday school teacher has been arrested on suspicion of kidnapping and murdering 8-year-old Sandra Cantu.

Tracy Police Sgt. Tony Sheneman says 28-year-old Melissa Huckaby was arrested at 11:55 p.m. Friday after voluntarily going to police for questioning nearly five hours earlier.

Sandra's body was found inside a suitcase in an irrigation pond on April 6.

Huckaby previously told The Tracy Press that Sandra visited her home March 27, the day she disappeared. Huckaby also said she had left her suitcase in the driveway that day, and that it was missing.

Huckaby is the granddaughter of Pastor Clifford Lawless, whose Clover Road Baptist Church was the subject of a police search. Huckaby taught Sunday school at the church.

When it comes to someone who knows the victim I'm never surprised...and I won't be surprised when there are more arrests.

A SUNDAY SCHOOL teacher? You gotta wonder if she became a Sunday School teacher to get close to potential victims - my mind runs there... Today show says she was also a neighbor.

I'd be even more surprised if a man wasn't involved in this in some way. How often do women act alone in taking a child, who's not a relative, and killing them?

How awful. It is surprising that it's a woman, and then the fact that Tracy Cantu was friends with her daughter.

What is up with all the sick fuckers in this world? It makes me scared to let my six year old play outside, even in our own backyard, by himself.

You have to wonder if it was some kind of accident she felt she had caused. I mean, her little daughters best friend-right? This is strange & we need more info. Just speculating here but-what if her daughter accidently caused it?
