Nope , not a monster...just some guy who takes out a 1.5 million dollar insurance policy on some girl he met online and has taken to Aruba. Sure, whatever you say, Pops.
Gary Giordano's Father: My Son Is Not a Monster
Gary Giordano, the man suspected in the disappearance of traveling companion Robyn Gardner in Aruba, "is not a monster," his father said on Tuesday's Today show.
"The least I can do is stand up for my son and tell the world that what they've been hearing about him is not true," Frank Giordano, 80, said on the NBC program.
Frank Giordano also released family photos of Gary, including some with his three sons (their faces masked for privacy), to display the "other side" of the man he says has been vilified by the press.
"I would like to show the side that shows Gary as a good human being who's good to his family and good to his friends," Frank Giordano says. "I know he would not be able to kill someone."
Frank says his son has been put in isolation so he can't call or visit him, which has been hard on the family. "His kids miss him the most," says the elder Giordano. "He's almost a big kid himself. They love coming over to his house."
He also says he'd never heard of Gardner, whom Gary met online, before news of this story broke. "The whole situation is strange," he says. "I don't know the young lady that we're talking about. I've never met her and I've never heard Gary talk about her."
Aruban authorities will decide this week, possibly as early as Tuesday, whether to hold Giordano, 50, another 60 days. He has not yet been charged with any crime.

What do they mean "beyond pornographic" ? Whatever photos they found must be really perverse to get that description.
I guess tomorrow they are letting this guy go (I haven't heard of any evidence other than the insurance policy, which is circumstantial).
Aruba is going to have two really weird unsolved missing-persons cases to live down....
It sounds like Aruba has some awesome places to stash bodies.
In my world, everyone's a pony and they all eat rainbows and poop butterflies!

From what I've read Giordano has been down there MANY times before and probably knows every inch of the island. Try....I know it's hard...but try to think like a murderer might think if he had intentions of killing someone down there to collect insurance money. This guy doesn't sound like a dope .....so my guess is that he had already had dug graves in various places and covered them up just enough so nobody would accidently find them. After doing his dirty deed he would know just where to go. And,only an idiot would believe the snorkeling story because what woman goes swimming wearing a dress? If he says she got undressed then where is the dress? And the fact that he seems so obsessed with his baldness that he always wore a toupee tells me that he is too vain of a guy to take it off to go swimming anyway
The police force down there must consist of Barney Fyfe clones(the cop on the andy Griffith show for the younger readers out there).
Gary Giordano Will Be Held Another Two Months in Aruba Case
Gary Giordano will remained confined for another two months in Aruba while authorities continue to try to question him about missing Robyn Gardner.
A judge ordered the 60-day extension Wednesday during a closed-door hearing.
Giordano, 50, has been held without charges for nearly a month since he reported the disappearance of Gardner, 35, during a trip they were taking to the Caribbean island.
The Maryland businessman has told authorities that Gardner disappeared in a snorkeling accident, but authorities say he has given inconsistent statements. Giordano also is said to be the beneficiary of a $1.5 million insurance policy on Gardner.
"There are some things we still need to confront him with," says Solicitor General Taco Stein, according to the Associated Press.
Andrea Colson, Gardner's mother, says in a statement she has "faith and confidence" in both Aruban authorities and the FBI and "know that they will fervently continue their efforts to find Robyn."
"This has been such a difficult time for all of us and your prayers have given us strength," says Colson. "We need to find our daughter."

The going theory is that the Arubian Police have much more on this guy then they are letting on. I mean, after the Natalie Holloway thing, they need to get this one right, so I tend to believe it. Maybe.
Glad that they were able to hold him for 2 more months. I think it shows they are making progress.
I hope they get this one. He takes out a HUGE life insurance policy on another person, not his wife or even a fiancee and then is with said person when they die. How obvious is that? It's always amazing to me that people get to the point where they think murder is the solution to their problems.

Casey Anthony's defense attorney has a brand new client.
Jose Baez tells PEOPLE he will represent Gary Giordano, the man suspected in the disappearance of Robyn Gardner in Aruba.
Giordano, 50, has been held without charges for over a month since he reported the disappearance of Gardner, 35, with whom he was vacationing on the Caribbean island. He reported her missing on Aug. 2.
In July, Baez successfully defended Casey Anthony, who was acquitted of murdering her daughter Caylee.
After the not-guilty verdict, Baez, who had only been practicing law for three years before taking Anthony's case, told Barbara Walters, "After I heard 'not guilty,' I had a moment. I thought, 'My life is going to start to change.' "
Giordano is currently being held for 60 days as Aruban prosecutors build their case.
