Holy hell, i just changed to Firefox. It's gonna take some getting used to ,like anything, but I like it.

Anyway, I'm worried about the IE thing since I still have IE on my computer. Is it safe to delete it completely?

Just keep it. Like Butterfly says, you may need it for some updates and stuff.

    Good luck with Firefox!

But am I at risk of having passwords stolen, etc? If I keep it but don't open it at all, will that protect me?

    Meanwhile, I LOVE FIREFOX!

I don't know what the risk is. But couldn't you clear your IE passwords and whatnot?

I have to use IE to test website design, hate it hate it. Have been with Firefox for a long time now.
Don't worry about what other people think. They don't do it very often.

I work at a gigantic company right now and the entire company banned IE two days ago. For good. They are just tired of this shit happening over and over again.

Anyone who still uses IE in 2008 has no one to blame but themselves.

I HATE firefox. I can't get it to post pictures correctly and it always wants to save my history. I don't like that, since I only come here while at work.

You can, that's why I originally switched to Firefox forever ago. I don't like desktop clutter and Firefox has had tabbed browsing as long as I can remember (long before IE added it). To open a new blank tab just hold the Ctrl and t keys on your keyboard. To open a link in a new tab hold down Ctrl when you click the link. You can also click the file menu at the top and select "new tab".

Have you gone into options to turn that setting off?
I keep this option on since I need it to clear out when I leave work every night.

The best thing about Firefox is the addons. Themes and plugins. You can get them here

    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/

I'd personally recommend using Adblock Plus. Takes away all those adds you see on pages

    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1865

If you want to delete your history you can do this by going to

Tools, Options, Privacy. At the bottom you'll have a button that says private data. You can change the settings there as well as make Firefox delete your history each time you close the browser.
