I've used Opera for a long time but recently made the full switch to Firefox. Opera is great but isn't supported by a few key sites...some facebook pages and google maps don't work with it.

Firefox is great...I really recommend it, especially after this story!

I have both ie (work use)and firefox (personal use) open at work.

I agree with everyone that Firefox is much better than ie and have switched to it at home also.

I've started using Chrome after years of Firefox. I like both Chrome and Firefox. Chrome seems faster; Firefox has more convenient features.

McJag, you don't have to get rid of Internet Explorer. I've kept it because now and then I seem to need it. Like recently, when I switched Internet providers, the provider required me to use IE to do my initial setup.

I think you have to keep IE so you can download updates for windows... and certain programs require you to have it like Quickbooks.

I use Firefox because I have a Mac. I used IE prior to that. I love Firefox...still on the fence about the Mac.

You are right, i use it mainly to get updates for windows and to download some programs

My bf, who trained as an engineer specialized in electronics, says Firefox is hugely overrated. I personally fail to agree. I dislike IE.

my brother says the same thing. he says macs are no fun cause everything works and half the fun is figuring out how to fix stuff on his computer. me, the less i have to tinker with my computer, the better...
