Wow... I've been using Google Chrome since last night and the only qualm I have about it is that it doesn't have the little search box... the search box is integrated into the url bar, which I don't really like since it doesn't show Search Suggestions as clearly as it does in Firefox... it's FAST, though.. and downloads documents really quickly... and each tab loads separately so if a webpage times out it doesn't take the whole browser down with it... I'm still testing it out, but that's what I think so far...

novice, there's no chrome for mac yet, but on the website, you can sign up and they'll email you as soon as it's ready.

i'm willing to give it a try but i have a hard time believing it will be as good as firefox.

Yea, I switched back too. It kept bothering me about Java and Flash stuff and I figured out the text boxes on certain websites were formatted differently. Oh well.. they'll probably come out with a better version 5 minutes from now.

im thinking of downloading it. is it hacker safe? we have at work some tool that blocks any might-be-harmful sites, does google chrome does that? do you know other tool that does that?

what is it good for besides being fast?

I've been using it and loving it. I love that the search is in the url bar. Wouldn't change back to Internet Explorer if you paid me. And it is really fast.
And when I told my male friends about the 'porn browser' (incognito) you would've thought they'd just won the lottery!

Do not use this browser. Google knows enough about you as it is. I would never use one provider for everything. I don't touch Gmail or Chrome. They store all your user info, they even scan your emails for sellable info. You give more info to Google than you ever gave your doctor.

Use Firefox, it's a much better browser, anyway.

I hate firefox.. all the shitty extensions fuck it up, and frankly I find it more twitchy and bug prone than IE.

I luv me some chrome. Simple, fast, very stable.

I've had it for a long time (got it when it first came out). It has nice designer themes now. And it's very fast and light. I like it so much more than the competition (I was using firefox previously).

Here's a sample of the designer theme page:
